We stayed in the villa for the third time this September, another ten days of fun in this wonderful house. The views around the valley are wonderful and the house itself has plenty of charm with great outside spaces. The pool offers a refreshing dip when it's all become too hot.
The village and location is great with a great (and very cheap!) bar only a few minutes walk away. Would recommend getting a takeaway paella!
We couldn't have been happier with our choice of villa. I stayed with my wife and children (18, 5 & 3) and my in-laws, so we reall covered the age range and we were all loved the place. It is set in the hills surrounded by orange groves with mountains views on all sides. It is an unspoilt and thoroughly authentic part of Spain, almost totally free of tourists. The villa is located just above a village which has a wonderful bakery and a small supermarket. We did most of our shopping there, although there were large supermarkets in the 2 larger towns about 20 minutes drive. We used the Tavernes and Cullera beaches. The Estany beaches in Cullera were very small but perfect for young children; beautiful sand, cleaned everyday, warm water with very small waves and only 50cm deep 50 metres out from the shore. You had to get their early (before 11am) to park but it was one of the best kids beaches I have seen. the local Spansih family that support the villa were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. In short a fantastic family holiday in a wonderful unspoilt setting. Very highly recommended!
