Stayed 3 nights at Toyoko inn, single non-smoking on the 10th floor. Has a good view from the 10th floor. Easily accessible from Fujisawa station, walking distance about 5mins. Friendly staff, fast check-in, Japanese style breakfast with onigiri, miso soup etc, may differ with noodles or rice each day.

This chain is in the Guinness Book of Records for 100% occupancy and you can see why. They do everything they can, to make your stay, the best it can be. Top floor with a view, non-smoking room, free internet, told by front counter to book on line to save money and includes a Japanese breakfast. Right near the station, but as quiet as a mouse. Bath robe included. About AUD$60 per night wherever they are. You can't find better.

I'm glad I took quite a few photos of the Tokoyo Inn Fujisawa, because it allows me to describe the facilities in detail. About the only negative thing I can think of from my stay was that the main Tokaido train line is just across the road, but I was on the ninth floor (in room 911 as it happens) and the train noise wasn't a problem. In fact, I enjoyed the view of the Tokaido line and the Odakyu private line from my window.
I wish I could stay in business hotels like this in Australia! The room was a decent size (Japanese business hotel rooms can be tiny) with a comfortable semi-double bed, and a cotton yukata was supplied. The room had an amazing array of facilities, thermometer, reading lamp for the bed, remote control for the reverse cycle airconditioning near the bed, a desk with a safe, fridge, TV, wall mirror and makeup mirror, wall clock, electric trouser press, kettle, hair dryer, phone, tissue box, free wifi, a bookshelf with several books, slippers, shoe-horn, shoe polishing sheets, a clothing rail with coathangers, an air humidifier, ensuite with shower/bath, shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser, toilet with bidet, towels, razor, and toothbrush.
In the lobby there were a couple of computers with a printer for guest use, and a great deal of information about local sights. There were also vending machines, and breakfast was included. While breakfast was Japanese style, it was very good. I also happened to stay at New Year, and was surprised on the morning of New Year's day that a barrel of sake was opened in the reception and guests were given free Japanese sake (rice wine).
Yes, it was a short walk from the JR station, but it wasn't far and well worth it for such a clean and well presented hotel. Access to the Enoden line to Enoshima and Kamakura is also easy.

Room Tip: A room on the south side will have a view over the train line and out toward the bay and Enoshima. A room on the North side may have a view of Mount Fuji on a fine day.

The Toyoko has excellent value for money. The rooms are large for a Japanese businessman's hotel, especially for the price. They have good amenities. The Toyoko Fujisawa is no exception. It is a short walk to the JR Fujisawa Station and a short walk to the restaurant / bar district.
The room was efficiently laid out and included a desk, fridge, a number of electrical plugs for recharging my too many gadgets, and a rarity for hotels in this price range, a safe.
The bathroom was the usual compact toilet / sink / short tub and the tap for the sink swiveled to fill the tub.
My room faced the tracks. I don;t mind the noise, even though I sleep with an open window, but those who don;t like it be warned!
Breakfast was a simple affair but in line with the pricing. There is a Denny's a few blocks away for those yearning for a more western breakfast experience.
All in all, a great vlaue for the money.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the tracks are noisy - ask for the other side if this would bother you.

Been staying at Toyoko Inn hotel chain whenever possible. This time round, i decided to go to Kamakura and just nice, there's one hotel nearby. Hotel is conveniently located abt 5-10min walk away from the Fujisawa JR Station. It is a further 5min walk to the Enoden train line. I purchased an unlimited rides day pass for the Enoden train line and managed to go to Enoshima, Hase (for bid buddha) & Kamakura station. It takes abt 50min from Fujisawa to Kamakura via this Enoden line.

Room wise, it is pretty much consistent throughout the whole hotel chain in japan. It is clean. Booked a double room and had enough space to walk around. Breakfast was simple but good. Like other chains, onigiri, some appetiser, miso soup, bread.. coffee & ocha~ there are juices too.

Nearby have like 2 restaurants and one 7-11. Didn't get to explore other parts as I stayed for 1 night only. Fujisawa Station have a Lumine and Starbucks.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Toyoko Inn hotel chain never once failed me so far. Will still be back!
