This was the first place we visited after our arrival in Centrair Airport Nagoya and this shrine, which dates back over 1,500y years and is filled with abundance of wooden phalluses which the locals pray for good crop, fertility and safe birth. This shrine is quite small, with two praying houses, one infront of the other and a small pavement garden.

It took us about an hour to get here from Nagoya Station which involved three different subway/rail lines. The Shrine is about a 10-minute walk from the Tagata-jinja-mae Station.

This Shrine is famous for its annual Harvest Festival on March 15 where a giant wooden phallus is paraded. It’s free entry to the grounds of the Shrine and photos are allowed except when there is a ceremony occurring inside the Shrine. Couples also visit this Shrine and pray for issues regarding fertility.

I visited this Temple today. Nice and beautiful and I like the open way thr people are dealing her with rhis in Europe so difficult handled thing. Not only a visit to watch... also an opportunity to reevaluate our relation to our body and sex

Tagata Jinja is a Shinto shrine in Komaki just north of Nagoya. Lots of prayers for a safe pregnancy come to this shrine. I recommend you to visit there on March because one of the strange festivals in Japan is held!!

If you are coming out on March 15 (the day doesn't change) I suggest going to the Honnen Matsuri! It's lovingly called the "penis festival" but it actually a fertility festival that boasts a large wooden phallus carved from a single tree.
If you come on any other date you can still enjoy a lovely shrine that is decorated with phallic rocks, bells, and has the large parade use phallus on display. The festival is very popular and very crowded. Other days are typical of any shrine I believe. Don't miss all of the nice Mamori (little trinkets for protection/good luck/etc), as they all have a phallus or panty theme to them.
