“You Cannot Go Wrong with This One!”
Reviewed 19 July 2010 for a stay in July 2010

This was our 3rd and last B&B of a week's drive through rural France and ended up being the frosting on the cake! Paula and John are exemplary hosts, welcoming, talkative and yet also knowing when to retire. They give every attention to detail and cleanliness. The place is in an old structure but with modern touches for renovation and decorating. Very English...the gardens especially. Lovely in every way. You will not be disappointed.

We decided to have our "Last Supper" of the trip there at the B&B, since they offer it. At €50 total for the two of us, which included the bottle of wine, we could not have have a better dining experience. It so happened we were the only ones eating there that evening, so it was like having our own personal dining room in a restaurant. The food was exquisite. They even gave us permission to pick cherries off their tree, which we did 3 different times for snacks during our 2 days there!

I am an American woman married to a Dutch woman. We felt totally at home and loved the fact John and Paula are English and could communicate with us in a language other than French. That helped a lot. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely make a point of staying there. It's conveniently located between Mont St. Michel to the southwest and the Normandy beaches to the northeast...a great in-between place for many attractions.

“Perfect end to a fabulous holiday”
Reviewed 13 July 2010 for a stay in July 2010

We stayed here just for one night at the end of our 2 week holiday in France (en route back home from southern Brittany). It's in a beautiful location and also very handy for the A84. The property is spotlessly clean and we all enjoyed our home cooked meal. Paula and John were friendly and welcoming and have done a marvellous job renovating their property. The bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely, as is the spacious, cool dining/breakfast room. Will be sure to stay again should we be in the area again. Thanks Paula and John.

“Luxury and comfort combined with fine dining.”
Reviewed 6 June 2010 for a stay in June 2010

Thank you to John and Paula who have created a first class holiday experience. My husband and I travelled with friends on a five day break touring the beautiful towns and countryside of Normandy. We were delighted with our two night stay at La Crepelliere where we enjoyed an incredibly high standard of accomodation, food and hospitality. The farmhouse has been lovingly restored and decorated in a tasteful manner. Breakfast in the sunshine surrounded by colourful flowers and peace and tranquility will long be remembered. Our evening meal was absolutely delicious and contained fresh produce from the garden. We thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay and enjoy, we will be returning soon. Top marks to John and Paula.

“French country life at its best”
Reviewed 6 June 2010 for a stay in June 2010

An idyllic chambre d'hote in a very peaceful location but only a reasonable drive from some of Normandy's tourist hot spots such as Mont St Michel and Bayeux. You can walk into the local village and stroll round the country lanes enjoying the birdsong and lovely countryside. The house has been sympathetically restored to a very high standard by John the owner and his wife Paula has furnished it in a tasteful and comfortable style. The garden is delightful with a seating area and swing seat where we ate our breakfast in the sunshine. Good breakfast and evening meal. Our 2 night stay passed much too quickly.

“Splendid and luxurious”
Reviewed 16 July 2009 for a stay in July 2009

we spent the most wonderful evening at la crepelliere and only wished we could stay longer, from the moment we arrived we were totally spoilt and enjoyed very moment. John and Paula are prefect hosts and provide the most delicious evening meals, using their own grown produce where possible. the room was delightful with plenty of space and the bathroom was also very spacious complete with bath as well as shower. The area is prefect for exploring Normandy and Brittany with plenty to do and see. Cant wait to return next year.
