This is my go-to place. Great deal for the price you pay, friendly staff, relaxing pool area. Close to the beach, the river, and about a 10-minute taxi trip into town to enjoy the nightlife.

Cons: beds are a little hard. I normally use the couch cushions to place on top of the mattress as a solution.

Room Tip: The rooms at the very top are quieter and feel bigger for the same price.

It is hard to rate this hotel given that i was therec for 3 nights during the height of Semana Santa. It was chockerblock full of huge families. Kids were in the pool splashing around screaming non stop morning til night. The hot tub which clearly stated for adults only, also had kids in it, and there was no attempt to discourage them. Given that they were full to the brim with guests it was not unrealistic to experience a shortage of hot water, as the tanks couldnt keep up with demand. The room itself was a little spartan.
I suspect that under normal circumstances, this would be a lovely hotel particularly for families. The grounds are lovely and well kept. The buffet breakfast was great, the staff were helpful, they had a nice little lending library, my single room was very spacious including cooking facilities which i did not take advantage of. Location wise, it is a short walk to the beach, or a 20 minute bus ride into the old town, PV, the stop being outside the hotel gates.
I would definitely stay here again if i wanted to be in Mismaloya, but never, ever again during Easter. Too crowded and noisy.

my wife and I needed a room for one night on our way back from a trip south of Puerto Vallarta. This place fit the bill. We ate dinner at El Jacalito, which was across the road and this was an excellent place to stay before we headed on to San Pancho, Nayarit, Mexico.

My husband and I stayed here for a week Mid Febuary 2018 the room was fine for us two bedrooms a living area and a Kitchen nook. There is no coffee pot but you can ask for one provide your own filters and coffee.
breakfast was at 8am coffee was a big draw for everyone. there was an abundance of fruit, yogurt, pancakes and amazing Mexican food we never left hungry.
Location is great you can walk up to the zoo or el Eden where predator was filmed
Bus is 8 pesos which worked out to about 50 cents rode it to the end of the line and walked the Malicon by the ocean always something different to see and do there
The beach is across the road and is small but nice we enjoyed massages and fresh seafood there
We enjoyed the hotel for its location it was quiet the price was right for us we will definitely be back

Stayed: February 2018

The bar was never open. The restaurant closed very early every day instead of the 10 pm advertised. No gym, safe, iron or hairdryer. Jacuzzi wasn’t working. Staff very rude and unhelpful. A/c didn’t work. Glass shower door didn’t slide open or closed. Maids took bath towels and didn’t replace every day.
