“Really nice house let down by the dreadful state of the property next door and their dogs”
Reviewed 4 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Liked the house which is pretty well equipped and the village. Easy walk to the beach. Unfortunatelly the house next door is very run down and littered with rubbish on the front yard - ranging from a slowly rotting VW beetle to animal cages and more recent carrier bags of rubbish which contained nappies. Flies were plentiful. Also the couple next door have dogs which they sometimes chain up in the shared alleyway and the dogs are loosed down there to use it as somewhere to pee and pooh. The resultant stench made the back yard ususabe as the dogs seemed to pee against the door into our yard. Attempted a barbecue once in the two weeks but gave up with the smell. Have dogs at home so not unused to them but they are walked on open land not peeing outside he back door.
Photos attached of view of next door from the upstairs of Glenfeadon and some dog pee seeping into the back yard.
Very sad as would definitey would use the house again but for this unhygenic and unpleasant situation next door which incidentally is not evident on the latest Google street view from 2009.

Management Response

Unfortunately this review was accurate at the time .Fortunately however these tenants have now vacated the property and the place has been thoroughly cleaned and you will see from previous reviews that there has never been a problem in the past. Regards Keith.

“Very cosy and a lovely homely environment to be in”
Reviewed 31 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed in this lovely cottage for a week in August. We are a family of four with two teenage children. Lovely large well equipped kitchen with pleanty of room to sit and eat family meals. The lounge is big enough for everybody to sit comfortability. Bedrooms are well equipped and very clean and comfy . Local amenities are very pleasant and we ate in the local family run Atlantic bar on the sea front on a few occasions. Our children hired wet suits most days from the local store which was relatively cheep. Would highly recommend this cottage to other families.

“A lovely spot.”

A lovely clean and well maintained cottage. Great location within minutes of the beach and local pub for an evening meal. We had a super holiday walking locally and visiting some of the fantastic gardens in the toe of Cornwall.

“Very well presented and close to all amenities”
Reviewed 31 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The house has been professionally finished to a high standard and having private parking for two cars was a welcome bonus.
The beach is just a short walk away as are the shops and pubs. The beach is sandy and had an RNLI lifeguard all the time that we were there.
The enclosed area at the back of the house was safe for the children to play outside when not on the beach, not very often!
An excellent week in a lovely quiet village.

“Excellent accommodation and location”
Reviewed 17 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Glenfeadon villa is a fantastic place to stay, it is very well equipped and spacious enough for 6 people. It has a small garden at the back which was great for barbecues. It is very close to the beach and has some great local pubs. I would definitely recommend it for a lovely stay in Cornwall.
