One of my favourite places with fantastic views over the hills.
Parking is ok.
Has a wild freedom feel to it but is well maintained and clean. Thought provoking when reading about the history of Sir David Stirling and reading the names of the fallen.

Stopped here two years ago on 11th November 16 on my way north. I was impressed with the situation and the simplicity on the memorial. As 11:00 approach several others arrived to mark the Armistice.
It was a moving moment, remembering my late cousin, who lost his life in the service of his country.

Iconic building, well kept , well run.Great historical information. We were a cruel lot in those days! Totally different nowadays, need to learn from our ancestors and what happened all these years ago to make us aware of what we can do to make our future better.must visit.

On the country road drive between Doune and Dunblane this is the perfect place to stop for a photo on a clear, sunny day to capture the beautiful Scotland scenery. A panoramic shot works good here. Parking is plenty and free. When we were visiting there, in the fields surrounding the monument was Soya Beans growing.

We came across this by accident but I'm glad we did. There was a statue of Sir David, and a plaque telling you about the founding of the SAS. The views from this location are amazing.
