Fantastic restaurant that offered something for the kids, the menu had a great balance between Western and Vietnamese, the atmosphere was extremely relaxing, the layout was well designed and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Our only regret was not booking early enough and missing out on a room in the resort.

We went here based solely on the TripAdvisor ranking for Sandals.
But I must say we felt very let down.
We probably had high expectations due to it having such a high rating on here. Going anywhere in that frame of mind can be dangerous though.

Anyway the food we got was nice, as in just nice. Nothing worse and nothing better. We've eaten far nicer elsewhere and also for cheaper. So of course the next issue is the price that they charged for an underwhelming meal. Sandals is situated in a lovely resort that by the looks of it is expensive to stay in. This is why I believe their prices are so high.
Sandals has a lovely beach view and a lovely location but I can only rate their food as it's a restaurant. And we both thought the food was average.

Dear Ronanoh88,

Thank you for your visit at Sandals restaurant and for sharing your feedback. All the feedbacks we receive help us make changes and improvements striving for the highest quality for all our guests.
It is true that Sandals restaurant is a part of a 4* boutique resort Mia Mui Ne. This and other factors, such as high quality of ingredients (local and imported), influence the prices at our restaurant. I am sorry to learn that we did not live up to your expectations, but giving it a second chance is always a good idea! Isn't it? :)

On your next visit to Mui Ne, try Sandals one more time, as I am sure, we can still surprise you!

General manager,
Grazina

Without a doubt - here is the place for good cocktails in Mui Ne! Didnt eat dinner this time but enjoyed the sunset with their signature drinks. Dont miss out on the one with Vietnamese coffee, condensed milk and kahlua.

We booked an early dinner at Sandals on New Years Day for a treat. We wanted somewhere special and Sandals had been highly recommended in the Lonely Planet guidebook and it also had great TripAdvisor reviews.

Our table had been reserved next to the pool, but we preferred a sea view so we changed to one of the bar tables next to the beach. It had an upmarket vibe to it, but it did feel very 'resort-y' with sunloungers right next to the eating area - we expected a separate restaurant, I think.

I agree with one of the earlier reviews - we were a little 'underwhelmed'. The service was excellent and the food was nice - we had spring rolls and ribs to start (both very delicious) and squid with capsicum, morning glory and chicken with cashew nuts (all nice). With a few non-alcoholic juice drinks, it all came to 1,500,000 VND with service and tax, which we thought was very expensive. In comparison, we had an equally delicious meal at a bo ke place with beers and that was 350,000 VND. We get that you pay for more than just the food (service, atmosphere, etc) but it just didn't seem enough to justify the expense.

Dear justglobetrotting,

I am very pleased that you have chosen Sandals for your New Years meal! It is great that you found our service being excellent, our food very delicious and the setting - pleasant.

As I understand the rating you gave us was based solely on the price you have payed. It is very true that we are more expensive than the local eateries, such as bo ke, which you have mentioned in your review. However, please take into consideration that our restaurant is situated in a boutique resort, all our ingredients are carefully selected from local and international suppliers, the staff is trained, and finally, you don't get to eat sitting on a plastic chair :).
All in all, we are very glad that you had a very positive experience and hope to serve you again in the future!

General manager,
Grazina
