We popped in here for a light lunch and was pleasantly surprised. It is a lovely place and the food was excellent. We had Halloumi Ciabatta and American Pancakes with Maple Syrup.

Modern décor in a period building. This place has an up to the minute vibe. It was once a livestock building but has been tastefully remodelled. A great place for lunch. Friendly staff and a great menu.

We have visited The Hide a few times for lunch when visiting family in Ampthill. It is a lovely place, very characterful and atmospheric and, as the name suggests, tucked away just off a Main Street in the town centre. There are two levels plus an outside seating area and we sat in the mezzanine each time we visited, which our children loved as there is an archway through which they can watch the bustle down below! Service is friendly and the lunch menu is delicious with a wide variety of dishes, all freshly cooked and very tasty. There is an impressive choice of homemade cakes on offer too, but we are always too full to be able to try one! There is a good selection of drinks as well, my husband was particularly impressed with the choice of local ales on offer! A definite favourite for lunch every time we visit Ampthill and we will keep returning.

Came here for my wedding reception. About 30 people including children!
Sam and Andrea were fantastic in helping organise a variety of sandwiches to feed my guests.
We were fortunate to sit outside (due to the fantastic summer we have been having) but inside there were plenty of seats, even an upstairs area with sofas creating a cosy atmosphere.
Staff were friendly and efficient. Great customer service.
Approximately a three minute walk from Ampthill registry office.
Delicious looking cakes and told the cocktails were gorgeous.
Definitely recommend for a big celebration!!!
I look forward to popping in there for some food after our honeymoon as the menu looked good.
10/10
