Skill with coffee, pleasant kind service and a warm friendly relaxed feel makes Saint James a very welcoming place.

Excellent coffee and appealing brunch menu. Saint Benedict came with a generous serve of pulled pork and whilst pleasant, was a little plain and seemed to lack a bit of zing. Nice decor and folds running the show.

Great place to sit outside, front of house of back of house on a warm day. Also lots of seating inside. Friendly and quick service, great coffee - have been back three times since my first visit. Family atmosphere.

Even if you are not a Pom this place has something dishes you will love that will make you wish you were a Pom. We had a mix of pommie and 'normal' meals here and everyone gave them top points including the coffee and fresh juices. If you are a Pom you will love that HP sauce is on the table. They have butties (for sandwiches) and black pudding -being just a few to mention. The fish cake butt was a favourite but the added chips were awful (think they are a healthy version that we forgot to read about on the menu). Coffee was perfect so whether you want just a coffee or a full meal this place is worth going to. Lovely courtyard our the back too. They give back to a charity each month as well. Would have loved a friendly pommy welcome as we came in the door.

Went here this morning for breakfast. We were told about the cafe by some customers in Port Douglas. Husband is dyed-in-the-wool NUFC supporter. Aside from that bias though- we had Rob's black pudding on spicy beans (very, very good) and the pork benedict- big servings. Very friendly service and our waitress from Leeds (so no bias there) was lovely. Appreciated a quality ingredients menu with GF options for one of us.
