Could not have dreamt a more perfect place. We were welcomed warmly to this beautiful paradise from the gorgeous driveway into the property through our last moments of the visit. Kim and Hector were very generous with their knowledge and helped us customize our adventures. We can't wait to stay here again!
This well maintained, clean, spacious house, is hidden in a jungle setting. I spent six relaxing days at La Lomita and had all the amenities of home at my disposal. The house is located close to major highways, but once you are on the property, you feel a thousand miles away from civilization. The native tree frogs, the coquis, happily sing you to sleep at night, and the sounds of birds and roosters wake you in the morning. The beds were comfortable and the entire property inside and out is very well maintained. I won't consider reserving anywhere else on my next trip to Puerto Rico!
We have stayed with Kim and Hector twice at this lovely home and can't say enough about what a wonderful place it is. The location is perfect, halfway between the San Juan airport and Fajardo, the jumping off point for travel to the outlying islands of Culebra and Vieques. Kim and Hector are warm, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and just plain wonderful people. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to just hang out and relax at the house. Highly recommended!
This property is located about 2 miles off of the the highway and secluded from other homes in the area with dense trees which makes the setting very private. There are bananas, mango, lemons, coconuts, plantains growing on the property. We were here for a week and the temperature was in the 80's most of the week and we never used the airconditioner in the house. All the rooms were equipped with ceiling fans and at night the temperature cooled down to make for comfortable sleeping. The patio outside is spacious and has a grill for cooking out. The beach is about 4 miles away and San Juan is a 15 to 20 minute ride to the west. There is a grocery store 3 or 4 miles away and there is also plenty of places to eat along the road. The Rain Forest was about 8-10 miles and provided hiking trails and water falls. The owners are very nice and moved down here from Michigan. I have no problem recommending this home to stay and relax at.
This house was amazing! The description is right on point! The pictures actually don't do it justice. The owners are extremely nice and gave us many suggestions of things to do during our stay. We really enjoyed the outdoor areas, the patio and beautiful landscaping. It could not have been more perfect for our family. The location was great as well, so close to so many different surrounding options. Grocery store, gas station and fast food are all near by on PR3. We traveled with our children (ages 9 and 13) and they are already asking when we can go back and stay again! This was our second stay at La Lomita and we can't wait to go back. I would recommend this house to anyone! Getting out of San Juan and enjoying the many beautiful towns along the coast was breathtaking. If you only stay in San Juan you are truly missing out! Our favorite beach is Luquillo Beach ☀️ Shallow swimming in crystal clear water. The drive to Loiza along the water and many secluded beaches is a must do drive. The little town was perfect for a quick snack, a fresh fruit smoothie and some souvenirs at the cute little shop. Take this route into Isla Verde/San Juan and enjoy dinner there at Mi Casita - yum! Fajado is great too. I heard you can charter a boat to Palamino Island for a reasonable price. We've been there and it is simply the best! Tons of fun activities there. After a full day it was always great relaxing at La Lomita! Great price - great place!
