We spent 3 nights staying in their lovely warm cabins while we explored Arctic Alaska. The cabins were very well fitted out with comfortable beds & small but well kitted kitchens. This was the perfect spot to explore from. The breakfast was superb & so filling!
I definitely recommend this spot for folks who wish to explore rugged Alaska.

Planing this drive through Alaska and Canada was daunting to say the least.
BUT ! It could not have been easier. Coming across the Arctic Getaway was the most pleasing part of our drive up to Prudhoe Bay, Our only regret was we did not stay 4 nights , we only stayed one, The best way is 2 nights if you are venturing to P>Bay. And 2 nights on the way back. The most delightful people are Berni and Uta this is what i call hospitality. It’s what the Dutch call Behaaglijk never had pancakes before Uta makes the best Yummy!! Unfortunately we did not see the northern lights but everything at this property made up for that. Thanks you Berni and Uta
You are the best. Steven and Therese Hall 12th September2019 oh yes great weather too.

Room tip: This lodging are cabins and if you do not like to share a bathroom then it would pay to pay for the whole cabin if possible.

What a great find! If you’re looking for authenticity, comfort and great pancakes for breakfast, this is the place to be! Please make the effort to drive just north of Coldfoot to Wiseman to experience ‘old’ Alaska at its best!

The icing on the cake was the northern lights - truly magical!

There are not many businesses with 5.0 ratings on Trip Advisor, but this one deserves it! Very friendly owners, great location, there is just no options for lodging and breakfast in this remote part of the world, like this one!

Services are pretty scarce along the Dalton Highway (DH), so we were very pleased and surprised to find a lovely, comfortable cabin waiting for us at the end of the long day. It had instant hot water for a nice shower, pots and pans for meals, and comfy chairs out front for relaxing. Uta and Bernie are great and welcoming hosts and gave us a lot of tips for enjoying the rest of our trip. A beautiful river walk with mountain backdrop is just across the street, and don't miss the lovely old chapel just down the street. For a finale, Uta prepared great sourdough pancakes and more for breakfast. You can stay in a bed-and-nothing spartan dorm room elsewhere or you can have a comfortable, affordable, unique experience with long-time Alaskans. We greatly enjoyed the latter.
