Tried to enjoy an evening with friends, table was booked but booking not found when we arrived. Waited ages for service and the risotto was inedible, due to the long wait we were then told we could not order dessert as the kitchen had closed.

Beautiful traditional British pub set in a lovely village. The staff are very welcoming and provide excellent food front of a real log fire. The pub has a cosy traditional feel and there's further seating to the rear for those wishing to dine. Would highly recommend

Stopped in the area unexpectedly and popped into the Antelope Inn.
Friendly welcome from the chef and barman.

Ordered steak and kidney pie with mash and peas .. delicious, as well as a steak - cooked to perfection.
Both meals were tasty and portions very generous.

We really enjoyed the visit and would happily go back when next in the area.

Stopped by on our way South to find a warning open fire in the bar where we were served by the friendly and super-efficient Frankie who was also charm itself in dealing with a large Christmas party all of whom wanted separate drinks bills!

I was not expecting my roast beef sandwich with horseradish to be made up of several thick slices of hot roast beef but I can't remember ever having had a better one. The salad dressing was delicious too - salads are not normally my cup of tea. My wife's Wild Mushroom Ragout with tagliatelle was not only huge but a dish this meat-eater would have happily consumed. Very good Malbec too. Overall a first class experience at a competitive price.

My first visit here, very nice beer but food not so good. Fish & chips took one hour to arrive, fish was OK but the chips (which looked like they had come from a packet) were barely warm and were awful. Then there was only a tablespoon of peas.
