“La Casetta, San Cristoforo, as lovely as ever”
Reviewed 20 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We last stayed in La Casetta some 7 years ago. Peter and Richard have maintained and improved, a great property for 2 couples. Everything supplied including plenty of firewood, we had some unexpectedly cool days, the fire the cottage nice and cosy. Great suggestions provided of things to do, one being making an omelette based on clematis tips (old man's whiskers
Peter went to the trouble of arranging a hire bike and taking me into Cagli to ensure all was correct.
A great base for exploring the wonderful nearby attractions and restaurants

“Excellent in every respect”
Reviewed 28 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We stayed for a week but wished it had been longer. We have rented in Italy for many years but this property must rate as one of the best. Our hosts made us very welcome & were on hand to give advice & suggestions for places to visit.
La Casetta was beautifully restored & tastefully furnished. The private garden gave views of the mountains & surrounding countryside. A car is essential.

“Charming and comfortable base for a less known but lovely part of Italy”
Reviewed 2 June 2012 for a stay in May 2012

We have stayed in this property now twice (and three times in the adjoining smaller property) and could not recommend it more highly. It is is both an extremely pleasant place to be - comfortable inside, a lovely garden with great views, very peaceful - and a good base for exploring the northern part of Marche and over the mountains in Umbria. The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. The nearby town of Cagli is an interesting but un-touristy place with all the shopping one needs for a self-catering stay.

“Green hills, serene mountains, birdsong and flowers”
Reviewed 17 May 2012 for a stay in May 2012

This spot is delightful and peaceful, the house and chapel nearby having been renovated in a manner true to the original isola, one feels. Admire the ruddy colours of the ceiling tiles that rest on wooden beams, and see lizards in the garden and darting from the path as you walk down towards the stream through lush woods. The area is full of interest with hill towns characterised by unspoilt Italian architecture and astounding panoramas. And various seaside resorts and vineyards within an easy drive. Lots of helpful information in folders. The hosts, who are experts on the region, are always happy to provide advice.
