it's been over a year but I still remember how delicious the food was. In Roma, most restaurants were over priced and not good. Colleague and I were in town for business. We were glad that we found this place on tripadvisor. you normally need reservation when you want to eat in restaurants in small town. they don't always have the staff/tables to take you. they dont try to flip the tables for the next patrons. so we called ahead. they didn't speak English. so using Google translate i believe they understood the time and the number of people in the party. I forgot exactly how much but it was under 20 euros, for a set dinner, some wine and 3 course meal. portion of each course was huge. the mussels were so fresh, the risotto was sooo creamy. But like I said, the portion was huge. by the time we got the fried calamari, I could only finish half a it. it was very sad that I couldn't eat anymore of the calamari. it was so tasty and fresh. They brought out some after-meal digestive drink. friendly and family owned restaurants sometimes do that. Great hospitality!
definitely need to give it a try. I will definitely go back if I happen to be in the area again.
