Nice view, nice hotel and service. The receptionists aren't friendly and helpful. The resort is like an OASIS, you have to stay there, play there and eat there. No other choices for interest outside. Receptionists are not professional actually!

Hon Co Ca Na is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. It is located on the most beautiful beach with unique spectacular rock formations and a smooth sandy beach going into a calm bay where it is safe to swim. The restaurant is right on the beach, where there are ample lounge chairs and palapas for shade. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast spread is varied and offers great coffee and western and Asian food. In the evening, there is an array of fresh seafood and kabobs that are grilled to order. The staff could not be more congenial and helpful. Oh, and the wi-fi is dependable and even works on the beach!

We just left the horrible city of Nha Trang and had an epic motorbike ride down along the coast and found this place. It was an oasis that ended up being the highlight of our Vietnam vacation. We got the lowest cost rooms that were about $35 US a night and they were quite nice. The prices in general at this place were extremely low. Beers were abundant and cold and well under a dollar each.
The beach was clean and surrounded by giant boulders, very picturesque. The sea was calm and plenty warm enough to swim in. Thatch umbrellas with recliners and inner tubes for floating made this a great spot. Service was not very good but on par for Vietnam. You had to walk up to the restaurant to get any service but they would bring drinks down to the beach for you. I recommend buckets of iced beers...
There is no town nearby so you will have to enjoy this "resort" style. We were able to walk to one restaurant just down the street but it was expensive and not as good as the in house restaurant. The walk is down the crazy Hwy 1 with lots of big truck traffic...
Last thing worth mentioning is the late night bar that has karaoke! To buy a bottle is very cheap and the club is quite fun. We managed to keep it open till after midnight our first night but complaints from the sleepy folks closed it down around 10pm the next night. Super fun but frustrating sound system...

Room Tip: Cheap rooms are very nice, I would try a suite next time as they too are reasonably priced

We were motorcycling through Vietnam, staying on coastal roads when we stumbled upon this place. In our 21 day trip, this was the highlight. We had a good group and we decided to stay a few extra days because it was so nice. We ate, drank, swam, slept, it was beautiful. I'll be back to this place soon. On the coastal road to the north, there's a breathtaking drive with many vistas and pull out areas. There isn't much else and many people will never to this area of Vietnam but if you go, don't miss it.

Even though we stayed in the cheapest room option, we had a very nice room with a view of the sea and mountains. The beach is nicer than I was expecting, with comfortable shading and chairs. The restaurant was also great, right on the beach. I especially recommend the seafood hotpot, the bbq skewers, and sea urchin sashimi. Even the simple fried noodles were great, light but tasty, probably the best I had while in Vietnam. The included breakfast buffet is in the same location, right on the beach. It is also good overall, with a wide selection.

One tip that I guess a lot of people might overlook-- there is an amazing motorbike ride along the coast, just north of the hotel. We only made our way to the Mui Dinh Lighthouse (45 mins north of from the hotel), but it should be impressive all the way to Phan Rang, or even Cam Ranh.

Traveling south of Ca Na is less exciting, at least for an hour or so bc it is along the busy Highway 1, but if you have time go all the way to Mui Ne (3-5hrs), then it is also a very good ride, much of it along the new, empty Sand Dunes Highway.

The location is right off the highway, so in some rooms you might be able to hear the noise of passing trucks. But I was surprised at how easy it was to forget this in most places, as the hotel grounds are very well designed to minimize any contact with the road, creating a peaceful environment. In most parts of the grounds, you'll only hear the sounds of the ocean.

There isn't much to do outside the hotel itself without a motorbike, but this isn't a problem if you are there to relax for a day or two, or three.

Room Tip: third floor has a great view of the sea & mountains, but also has the faint sound from the highway- a lower level might be quieter
