Service is good but meal is so so, fair price, good flight time selection, I most likely will take it again in future, recommended!

I travelled with my elderly parents and the crew were really warm and genuine in their care. The stewards and stewardesses were prompt and eager to cater to frail senior citizens.
However, the inflight meals were less than savoury. Disappointing food catering.

So I took Shenzhen several times during October and November. Once from Xiamen to HangZhou. Another time to Wuhan and finally from top to bottom ( SHenzhen to Shenyang)

I was surprised that I was greeted as a star alliance super elite member. A blanket and English newspaper already in my seat. The purser came over and told me to call upon her on all 3 flights. Compare this to air china where they look at you and say practically spit in your cup.

The staff actually checked several times, on all flights, to ensure the flight was to my liking.

The checkin staff told me-- you are an elite member you should use the VIP checkin. They also ensured to give me VIP access to their First class lounge. This was quite a change from most local chinese airlines!

Would be great to have those plane models with individual TV screens. The common screen is a fixed program that not ALL passengers are interested or understood. Furthermore, no head sets provided. Imagine a 4hour flight just staring at a silent moving screen? Not too pleasurable flight. kind of bored and just find ways to sleep. Though hard as you can imagine flights to China would ALWAYS have some kind of tour groups. It can be kind of "chaotic, hectic and audible" flight. Bring personal earphones and plug in to personal audio or videos on your smartphones with pre downloaded movies or audios.
