Would be great to have those plane models with individual TV screens. The common screen is a fixed program that not ALL passengers are interested or understood. Furthermore, no head sets provided. Imagine a 4hour flight just staring at a silent moving screen? Not too pleasurable flight. kind of bored and just find ways to sleep. Though hard as you can imagine flights to China would ALWAYS have some kind of tour groups. It can be kind of "chaotic, hectic and audible" flight. Bring personal earphones and plug in to personal audio or videos on your smartphones with pre downloaded movies or audios.

Told by ground staff at Shenzhen BaoAn Airport upon check in that every passenger was only allowed 1 piece of luggage of not more than 23kg to check in. Whereas I have checked on their website which did not state such a rule. When confronted with the website check in rules, the ground staff called the supervisor over, name was Dong Che, and this guy simply kept repeating the line "Each passenger is allowed only 1 piece of luggage, 1 piece!". All this while I was conversing with the ground staff in mandarin.
The website stated for International, HK, Macau, Taiwan flights, total baggage allowance was 45kg per passenger and each luggage cannot exceed 32kg.
This was an extremely frustrating experience and all I was trying to do was to check in an additional luggage weighing 10kg. My total baggage at this point was 15kg+17kg+21kg=53kg and there were 3 of us which makes our entitlement 45kg * 3 = 135kg.
In the end, I had to ask the supervisor how much to pay for excess baggage and only then did he reply with a difference sentence, "700RMB". Throughout the entire incident, the ground staff and supervisor did nothing and offered no alternative to resolve the situation. Coming from a non-budget airline, this is pathetic!

flight was delayed by hour as expected in china
No in flight entertainment
Asked fruit platter but was served fruits with bread (really how to eat)

One of the spacious business class among the Chinese carriers coupled with excellent customer service, food was a bit too Chinese but still acceptable if one loves oily beef brisket noodles.Beverages menu was too slim that the they offered only beer and some Chinese tea. Overall a good experience

Shenzhen Airline

Well price and well run Chinese airline.

Staff very attentive and friendly even though they speak limited English.

All round good experience
