Review of Rex Airlines

We flew to and from Adelaide with Rex.
We paid a small premium to upgrade to Business.
Service at checkin (in Syd and Adelaide) and on the flight was exceptionally friendly and professional.
Both flights were on time.
I travel a lot and was very impressed.

Don't bother flying with Rex, particularly if you need to connect to another Rex flight. Time margins can be wafer thin for connections and if you miss your connecting flight to a regional location, due to your inbound flight being late you're screwed if there are no more flights to that location that day. Nearly happened to me flying from Melbourne to Moruya. I just made it but my luggage didn't.

Had to wait until the next day for my luggage and nothing from Rex other than a words are cheap apology. No can do attitude. No gesture of goodwill to back the apology; just an 'it's not in our terms of carriage to offer anything'. Well, my terms are never to fly with Rex again and to discourage as many others as I can not to fly with them also.

If you live in the Moruya area, drive to Canberra instead and fly from there with another airline. Actually the taxi driver who drove me to Moruya airport for my outbound flight told me he often takes carloads of passengers to Canberra airport because they won't fly with Rex. Speaks volumes. Rex does not deserve your business. I urge you not to give it to them.

Where do I start. Flight originally intend to depart Syd at 1515 to Bne. Flight originally delayed and notification sent regarding that.

When arriving at airport and getting to the departure gate, staff inform of another delay, now delaying departure to 1805 from Syd. Some 3 hours late because of a blocked toilet which wasn't fixed by the way and the aircraft had come from Bne.

Poor communication and offers by staff at airport and the airline itself.

A coffee voucher for a 3 hour delay doesn't suffice.

First and last time travelling with REX.

First time flying Rex and won't be the last. Reliable, on time, comfortable, great price that includes baggage and an in-flight snack but most of all exceptional service. Sean in Adelaide went above and beyond to welcome everyone and help wherever possible. All staff were friendly and helpful. Best experience flying out of Adelaide in a while and will definitely fly with them whenever I travel interstate. Highly recommend.

Horrible company, rip off prices, heard many bad things from others who flew them before. Dodgy and don't care about their passengers at all.
