If you have booked "extra legroom seats" which cost £ 80 per seat per flight, keep checking that Virgin haven't changed your seat numbers without telling you.
We were travelling outbound to Barbados on 09/09 and inbound on 19/09. Extra legroom seats were booked only for the inbound flight. We originally booked our seats in mid August, and our seats were changed twice without telling us. The outbound seats were OK ( not extra legroom) but when checking-in 24 hours before the return flight, we noticed that Virgin had again changed our seats to those without extra legroom. We were able to change seats during the check-in process, but this seems to be a dubious way to operate.
Ok, the flights were fine, and we did get the seats we had paid extra for, but we have learnt to keep a very close watch on what Virgin are up to. £80 for a few extra inches of space is a great way of milking extra money from passengers!
