I am writing to express my sheer disappointment with the appalling service we received during our recent journey with your airline. The experience was nothing short of a nightmare and has left us questioning how an airline of your reputation could fail so terribly in multiple aspects.
On January 11th Jan 2025, our flight from Ahemdabad, India (TG344) departed 2 hours late from the scheduled time of departure (1.05 a.m.) due to the airline waiting for one passenger. This caused us to miss our connecting flight in Bangkok (TG475) to Sydney- scheduled time of departure (8.30am). Despite the connecting flight also from Thai Airways, to add insult to injury, Thai Airways did not bother to wait for 9 passengers, including families with young children like ours.
We were stranded, forced to reroute through Hong Kong with a layover of 7 hours. The ground staff in Bangkok assured us we would receive lounge access in Hong Kong, but upon arrival, there was no arrangement for lounge access. We were left waiting at the help desk for 3 hours with a 3-year-old child in tow, unprepared for such a stressful and chaotic situation.
Despite the helpdesk staff in Hong Kong being courteous and helpful, the entire ordeal was unacceptable. To make matters worse, upon arrival in Sydney, our child’s stroller went missing (not received till date) adding yet another layer of inconvenience to an already disastrous trip.
This level of service is utterly unacceptable. The lack of coordination, poor communication, and disregard for passenger welfare—especially families with young children—demonstrates a serious failure in customer service and operational efficiency.
This experience has left us with no desire to ever fly with Thai Airways again. I will be sharing this feedback with my network to ensure others are aware of the substandard service.
I demand a thorough explanation of this ordeal and appropriate financial compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused to my family
These people do not even bother to respond their calls or reply on emails even after following up with them for along period of time.
Extremely disappointed with the service from Thai Airways. My luggage didn’t arrive at Delhi airport with my flight, and I was told I’d have to wait 8-9 hours for the next flight to get it, or 2-3 days for delivery. This caused me a lot of inconvenience as I had urgent plans. Waiting 9 hours for my bag at the airport was unacceptable. I hope Thai Airways improves their baggage handling and provides better support to passengers in such situations.
I travelled with my kid and husband during summer holidays to India in Thai Airways. It was the worst experience. While flying back there was a guy constantly coughing behind me and my kid. We requested multiple times to change our seats. There were empty seats available but they blatantly refused saying they are reserved seats and need to pay extra. We offered to upgrade and pay, but they refused. Soon after our return my kid contracted the virus thanks to being exposed during the flight and suffered for a week with high fever, and we are currently sitting in emergency. I’m shocked at the inconsiderate attitude of the flight attendants where they refused a genuine request from parents. And never even asked the coughing passenger to wear a mask for protection to cover up.
