I was able to fly with Singapore Airlines recently and I have to admit I was very happy with the inflight service. The meals were good and the cabin crew were very polite and courteous.

travelled on SQ828 on 11 October; aircraft is 777-300ER. very surprised to receive such a warm welcome and caring from the crew members. in this review, would also like to add in my comments for the service from the crew members on SQ807, from Beijing to Singapore on 16 October, 2017 too. Services extended from the crew members excellent too.

Singapore Airlines is generally touted by flyers as "one of the best' airlines. This word of mouth (WoM) from apparent regulars flyers must be from business and 1st class passengers. I truly did not find economy class ANY better than my usual Star Alliance airline, Air New Zealand, This is perhaps true because there really is no Star Alliance consistent policy. High Mileage flyers are not treated with ANY acknowledgment once on board Singapore Airlines. Generally, as a Gold Elite on ANZ and Platinum 1K on UA, my lifetime flying is acknowledged on board by the flight staff. This is not at all true on Singapore Airlines.

On this flight in particular, I was not impressed with the slow service, nor cleanliness of the bathrooms, And, everything seemed very "rote" -- there was no amicable interaction with the flight staff.

Kris Flyers please note -- IF you are flying this flight in economy, the rows 41 & 48 are
the front rows in each economy cabin. If you want more room, these are the rows to book, however, they are also usually booked by family w/ infants due to basinets available so be SURE to take your noise canceling headphones. And note, 41H is to be avoided as the seat is on the actual aisle, not in front of the bulkhead.

I was somewhat anxious about this long haul flight so I decided to upgrade to Premium Economy and also get myself a bulkhead seat in Premium Economy. No regrets as I had a good long and very comfortable sleep on a very comfortable seat. There is a way to get the foot rest out a well, but if you are not sure you can ask the stewardess. I would advise travellers to make full use of the Book the Cook as those meals I booked tasted quite good.

Four flights, Brisbane to Singapore- Singapore To London, and reverse on the way back, with stopovers both times. Going to London both flights were excellent, i was impressed by the number of staff on board and they did a very impressive job. On the way home, there was also a satisfactory number of staff, but I think they were new to the job and were not quite as impressive as the staff on the flight over, but still satisfactory. EG: forgetting bread rolls, not asking passengers to put seats up while meals being served, I am impressed by being able to fly, for the first time on the double deck A380. What a lovely smooth flying aircraft. Movies are great, food varied from good to very good, except for poached eggs, don't order them. Leg room was good. Will fly with them again.Unable to choose seats,even though we booked months in advance and joined Kris flyer. Keep the good work up.
