Review of Ryanair

We have never flown with Ryanair before and I was concerned that it was not going to be good particularly as they had receive bad press before we left home.

Firstly Stanstead airport and the self loading luggage did not work, confusion!
Secondly flight out good, found the stewards pleasant and helpful. They dealt with some rowdy passengers at the back without fuss.
Delay on the return flight which somehow they seemed to make up.
Didn't like the fact that there was not a net on the back of the seat to put magazines etc in and no info about the flight itself.
Their luggage policy seemed to suit us but I made sure we weren't over the limit.
Don't know how far we walked on our return through Stanstead airport but it seemed like miles!

On the face of it I had very few copalints about Ryanair and would fly with them again but not from Stanstead.

Everything was on scheduele. Stewardesses were great, pilot also. For me Ryanair is the best low fair company so far. Prices in plane are correct, nothing special, and coffee is pretty good for a plane.

Really bad experience from service to value for money what you pay.
For every request they need extra money,worst budget airlines I have every travelled in.
On top of it my baggage was damaged

Our flight from Satorini to Athens was cancelled at the last minute after all passengers were line up at the gate. The airport stuff announced "No Ryanair fly to Athens today, you have 2 options refund or wait" most of the airport stuffs are not polite some of them even yelled at passengers when they asked quetions, no Ryanair repersentative at there. After we waited for 3 hours, airport stuff inform that there's no hotel available and they will try to move us to Athens by boat at noon. Another 3 hours passby, airport stuff inform again that there's no bus available to ride us to the pier and he didn't known how to do as no instruction from Ryanair. So, we decided to help ourself to go to the pier and took the boat to Athens. "What is Ryanair responsibility?????"

Sunday flight back from a short break.
Arrived at the airport on time to check in two hours before the flight as requested gate opened twenty minutes late.
As we sat in the airport the board said delayed no gate number released .
Our flight was due to leave at 5.45 and the plane taking us home arrived at 5.25 at this time the gate number was released.
A bit of frantic activity led to a disorganised queue to board the plane and no direction from Ryanair staff.
Eventually priority bookings were checked in through the gate and were left waiting at the bottom of the ramp until the arriving people were off the plane,we were then allowed on the plane which filled up quickly and we were ready for take off.

The cabin crew were all friendly and helpful and made the journey as pleasant as possible the food and snacks served are a reasonable quality and not overpriced.
The plane itself was fairly new and was maintained well.
We left fourty minutes late but made up the time and arrived 5 minutes early .
All the bad press Ryanair get a lot self inflicted is not a measure of every flight and the good staff they have.
All in all got us from A to. B just as we wanted
