“Qatar airline are poor budget airline.”
Review of Qatar Airways

Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Flight was delayed at DOH 3 hrs. Once the flight was delayed the communication was non existent. We were not told how long it would be delayed, they made a us stay in the gate area with no announcements. The way the staff spoke to people was terrible., Almost like how dear you ask us how long it will be. I would never fly with Qatar airlines again. During the flight they must have served 2 drinks on a 7hr flight. Its becoming a budget airline. I would not recommend.

I had a to and fro flight from Cochin to Albany, NY via Doha and Chicago. In my return flight, the flight from Chicago to Albany was cancelled. After speaking with the customer service for a revised plan, they booked me on a flight with a 19 hr layover in Chicago. I was told any other flight options were beyond the airline's policy, and I was forced to accept this flight with a 19 hr layover. Inspite of such a huge layover, the airline did not offer any accommodation assistance and blamed it on me saying they informed me about the cancellation beforehand. This is the most unprofessional and borderline scammy behavior I have ever seen. I will never fly Qatar Airways in the future.

I had confirmed ticket with Qatar Airways's flights # QR9618, 744 & 556.
I reached to Qatat's code sharing partner's counter at local airport to check in. Surprisingly, an agent at counter said there is no flight of QR9618. Then I called Qatar's toll free number, after 33 minutes on the phone, agent said they will call me back in 2 hours. Which they never did. Then I called again after more than 2 hours.
An agent said they sent me an email about change on certain date.
I did receive the email on that date about change of my return flight inbound.
No email for changes in going outbound.
They didn't have alter or back up plan at all. Then we requested refund, & they said they will give us partial refund. Since, this is not our fault, we should get full refund.
Qatar Airways advertise as World's Best Airline. That is not true.
The airline doesn't have back up plan or re-route their passengers, how can be World's Best Airline ??
We had pathetic, awful experience.
We had to book new ticket in another airlines.
Most Definitely, I would not recommend Qatar Airways at all.
Just keep in mind One Thing, Qatar Airways doesn't have any back up plan to re-route you to reach your destination, at all.
THIS IS NOT WORLD'S BEST AIRLINES. PERIOD.

Be Cautious of Qatar Airways Poor Customer Service, and Illogical Hidden Fees.
Although my flight experiences with Qatar Airlines have been great, I am really Disappointed with the Poor Customer Service. When I attempted to cancel a flight, there was a $480 cancellation fee, which I was aware of. However, when I received the refund, it was for $153 less than what I actually paid for the ticket (after deducting the $480 cancellation fee). I have been trying to get an issue resolved since over 2 months. All of the agents I chatted with online kept guessing at what it might be and promised to escalate the issue. Finally, I did receive one phone call from an agent, who said that when I changed the time of the outbound flight, the fare was reduced by $153, and it was Qatar’s policy to base the refund on the adjusted fare. I told him that does not make a difference since I did Not receive a $153 refund for the difference. I just read the Fare Rules again, and there is nothing in the rules stating that the refund would be based on the reduced fare. This would Not be logical. If you purchased something from a store, and later returned it, you would get a refund for the price you paid on your receipt; not the price they later reduced. Obviously, the Qatar agent is misinterpreting the policy. I asked him to escalate the issue, and he suggested that I go online and register a complaint. That’s what I have been doing for over 2 months now. I don’t know where else to turn at this point. I did find an address for Qatar’s new CEO, Badr Mohammed Al-Meer. I will write to him and perhaps someone on his staff can resolve this issue.
