Am considering to stop chasing the QFF points. Service both pre and post AND during Have been less than good. Every flight I’ve had in the lst 12 months has been delayed. Every flight has had terrible food and terrible service. It does not really matter if you’re gold class or platinum, it’s bad service all around.
Customer service does not care. Multiple complaints to customer care service has just given me a few extra QFF points to shut me up. But nothing is done to IMPROVE.
Even the points they gave me “complimentary” has not been accredited to my account. Despite numerous emails and phone calls. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
There IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR CARE in Qantas!

All our issues are with the business side of Qantas. While on the plane the staff have been great and the pilots are excellent but I am very unhappy with how we were treated by the operations side of the business because we booked a car seat for our infant (note the amount of times i had to argue to get the car seat on the plane despite pre clearing it and paying for a seat for our infant was ridiculous). On the shorter flights (3.5 - 5 hours) we were put in the last row of the plane even though we booked seats further forward, an annoyance but we just dealt with it. However our biggest issue was our long haul flight from Sydney to Vancouver. We paid for seats and were moved at the gate due to our car seat. The seats we were moved to were literally next to the toilet. We were close enough to touch the door while seated. Our infant was disturbed frequently by people opening and closing doors among other things. What is amusing is on our Vancouver to Sydney flight we sat in the seats we paid for without issue yet somehow it was a problem on the way back to Canada. I asked for a refund on our seats and Qantas claim that the seats were similar so will not issue a refund. Needless to say I am very unhappy about this and not getting a refund for a service we paid for but did not receive is questionable. To top it off my original refund request was approved only to be rescinded a few days later.

Our flight time was changed from 2030 to 1750 on the morning of departure without consultation due to overbooking. This was incredibly inconvenient given that my working day doesn't finish until 1800. Qantas customer support were of no help.
Based off of this experience, I would not recommend flying with Qantas. Or at the very least be prepared for last minute flight changes.

We travelled from Adelaide to Los Angeles via Sydney and the Sydney- LA flight was delayed by 5 hours. Fluid leaked from the galley and saturated my wife's travel bag which was on the floor at my feet. We found out about a half hour before descent into LA. Everything in the bag was soaking wet, but fortunately our passports were in plastic sleeves, so only mine was a bit wet. I'm sure US Immigration would have been impressed if we'd handed them wet passports. Anyway, Qantas staff were aware of the leak but hadn't bothered to inform us.
Our return flight from Vancouver to Adelaide via Sydney was delayed by 12 hours, and it took Qantas staff 3 hours to transfer us to a mediocre hotel outside the Vancouver airport with a dinner voucher. On our return to the airport, we had to arrive at 5am for a 9am flight due to lack of shuttle bus seating, we then had to request a breakfast voucher as one wasn't volunteered, seems as though that's company policy.
Our email to Qantas was responded to with "humble apologies". That's it.
It's sad that our national airline, which has spent a lot of money advertising a glossy image, really doesn't care once they have your money.

Awful domestic airline service. I travel regularly and find most my flights are delayed by hours. Missing connecting flights etc. I will never choose to fly Qantas domestic again
