“Super A380 First Class”
Review of Qantas

Reviewed 6 April 2018

The Qantas A380s are a little older now but still one of my favourite aircraft to fly.
On a recent trip back from Hong Kong, I was treated to seat 5A in First Class.
The space was amazing and the ambience quiet.
While the décor might seem a little dated compared to more recent offerings from Asia and the Middle East, it was still super nice.
The vintage bubbles kicked off the journey.
The super prawn laksa was delicious.
After that it was sleep in a rather decent bed with quilt and pillow until 45 min out of Sydney.
Perfect!

Flight was great. Flight is almost three hours long but went quickly. The cabin crew were great, we were served a snake as we left Sydney at 9.35. The snake was ok, ham and cheese foccasia. When we checked out the ingredients on the side of the pack it was VERY high in sodium, so not healthy at all.
The flight left on time and we arrived on Cairns a few minutes early. Great trip

We recently flew to the US and then on to Mexico. We had the option of flying through LAX or DFW. Flying through DFW resulted in a shorter flight to Mexico. The flight through to DFW was approximately 15 hours, but very comfortable. The crew were readily available during most of the flight. The return flight was just over 17 hours - but once again the crew made such a long flight enjoyable. Travelling with a small child is always an adventure, but this is certainly the longest flights we have been on. Well done QANTAS.

I would like to applaud Qantas for an excellent safety video. So different from all the rest of the run-of-the-mill ones. Very creative way to represent Australia.

Food was a different issue altogether. I don't remember the last time I had such mediocre food. Time for a review and revamp.
