“Good value flight”

Good value trip booked only a few days before flying. Easy booking online. Seats quite spacious for economy, with good size TV and wide choice of films. We got very lucky on the return, getting 4 seats each on a fairly empty flight, so very happy to be able to lie flat! The food really wasn't great, in fact it was barely edible and they don't serve alcohol heading to Oman, though they do on the return. Standard headphones don't fit in the sockets, so you have to use their low-quality headphones, and they take them in nearly an hour before landing, which was annoying, as the film continued to play!

The legroom offered was poor compared to other Airlines I have been on. The entertainment system on the flight from muscat to Bangalore was good probably because it was the newer dreamliners.

The food, however, was below par, the 'chicken' had a pasty texture and had a stale smell to it. The only edible part was the dessert.

The flight from London to Muscat had good leg room, but the entertainment systems could do with upgrading. The flight from Muscat to Bangkok had a little less leg room but better entertainment systems (certainly more user-friendly)! The food was not great but also not the worst I've had. Would fly with them again

As I prefer to travel at night and be in my arriving City early morning so I prefer to use Oman Air.
Sadly their food has deteriorated in Quality and standard.
The staff especially at the Mumbai airport check in counter are less knowledged about the exemptions and special schemes or promotions announced by the Airline time to time, so at times you really need to firm and aware of your rights as a passenger, especially to do with the Weight allowance as well as few other aspects of the passengers rights.
For this trip I had a bought a return tkt online on the Oman Air website on 27th September 2017, Muscat - Mumbai 12th Oct. 2017 and Mumbai - Muscat 30th Oct. 2017, on purchase I had a confirmed seat 10A on both the respective routes. Surprisingly when I was checking in I was told I will have to pay extra for that seat as it is a bigger legroom seat. Really unprofessional, Oman Air is not a Economy Carrier like Malindo or Air Asia, etc it is proper airline. If the airlines website issued a confirmed seat to me, the Airline counter should have honored it.

Everything was fine until I sat in my designated seat. The legroom was very small for a tall person like me 6'4". I'm glad the trip was not a very long one. The food was very bad as well.
