I took the flight from Amsterdam to Copenhagen a lot during the last 3 years and most of the time the flight is at time with great service. The boarding is always a rush and messy as most of the passengers are priority with hand luggage. Unfortunatelly, not enough space for all the hand luggages and people are not always following the rule on the numbers of luggages and size. This constrain the last passengers to put their luggage in suite or far away in the plane. As the line is very busy for business travellers, the cost can be very expensive even in economy if try to book not long time in advance.

KLM was a great quality airline in old days which always delivered a great service and been known for hospitality and friendliness. Everything was good but lacking that great hospitality and care to accommodate passengers. The flight from Washington to Amsterdam was some that good but far from great. The food was bad, missing that quality from old good days. It was more like a bad cafeteria food, I am very surprised how downgraded food was comparable to previous flights. The service was extremely fast, it felt like express without special attention and care even though the flight was half empty. It seemed like flight attendants were in the hurry to finish their job and get comfortable for the rest of the flight, so they won't be bothered anymore. No service of drinks before the meal and after the meal offered. Everything was in the hurry! It seems like cut has been made in quality. It seems like service on KLM has been downgraded to its lowest. It felt very strange like a fast food restaurant. without friendly hospitality which KLM promotes only by worlds. Flight attendants were not making effort to accommodate passengers even though when they were asked about drink which was never delivered, most of the time they were seating in their service area. It seems like economy class become "bad class" service area where you shouldn't expect much.

We prepare our meals with extreme care for quality and freshness, and in strict accordance with international regulations and standards. As for the services of our staff on board, do note that what you experience is an exception. We have normally getting great reviews on how friendly our staff has always been. :( In spite of this, we hope to welcome you on board in the future.

KLM is doing there best, I am sure, but:

The flight from Budapest was delayed 45 minutes and when I arrived in Aalborg, my suitcase was missing, so were app. 20 other travelers.

Took the 06.15 flight to Schiphol which arrived at 08.15 local time. Norwich is a true delight, easy parking and just a very short walk to the terminal. Very helpful and upbeat staff at such an early start and the Customs officials were wonderful and helpful to us. Only slight disadvantage is the short walk outside from the terminal to the aircraft. We were warmly greeted by lovely stewardesses and the flight was relaxing and swift.

This is a good airline, their word is their bond, service is very good, food and drink exemplary. Once our luggage was delayed and they pulled out all the stops to get the luggage to us asap. We have used them for the past 10 years. Unfortunately, KLM are now tied in with Air France - a real dog of an airline. Be careful when booking on line as both airlines are inter-mixed.
