Review of Air Serbia

Reviewed 5 weeks ago via mobile

When I was flying to Belgrade from Ljubljana I got a little bit anxious during landing because it was a little bit bumpy. The planes with which I was flying with were quite old. The staff was very amicable though.

my travel with air serbia vas great. Interesting thing was that the plane was named after Goran Bregovic (famous modern composer and musician) so we had a nice feelings entering the plane, expecting drums and his music... There was no music in the plane, but it stayed in our heads and minds, so that was relaxing and inspiring.

Any airline will from time to time experience problems and delays. That is forgivable. But it is inexcusable not to keep the customers informed. We had tickets with Air Serbia from Croatia to Denmark with a 2 hour layover in Belgrade. First flight was delayed, first 30 minutes, then an hour - but still no plane, no explanation, no information. The Croatian ground staff tried to answer our questions, but obviously did not get any information from Air Serbia, that has no staff in Dubrovnik. We found out that our connection from Belgrade to Copenhagen was also delayed, so upon arrival in Belgrade all connecting passengers rushed to the service desk to get boarding passes and possibly get to their next flight. Still no information about the status of our flight. And, as it turned out, we had to wait another couple of hours before a new crew were flown in. Neither the captain nor the first officer gave any explanation nor excuse for the delay. And add to that, that the aircraft was 33 years old and had seen its better days when Tito was in charge in Yugoslavia, you get the picture. And just maybe it takes a new generation of staff to realize that passengers or customers are not a given, but somebody you need to take care of to stay in business. When we landed in Copenhagen, four hours late, there was no sight of the cockpit crew, no apologies. They stayed behind a locked door.

I didn't encounter any issues, really. Flight and plane were relatively comfortable. Food is average like most airlines.

Short flight, pleasant with kind and helpful staff, punctual which I appreciate most, decent price, not cheap
