The US Airlines (American and United in particular) would do well to take a long hard look at JAL’s approach to service and passenger wellbeing not just on the flight but before and after as well. Bottom line... didn’t want to leave the plane.

Great airline with a good business class layout from NY to Tokyo. Go for the window seats. Good food. Helpful service.

Every JAL flight for me is pleasant because of the courteous staff. Service is one of the best I’ve experienced.

This particular flight used a B767 and the seats were very comfortable. Inflight entertainment was beyond my expectation.

Truly pleasant 4 hour flight.

We knew this flight was going to be long but what we didn't know was that it was also going to be uncomfortably warm for 90% of the flight. What I do not understand about these enormous planes is why you no longer get an air vent above your seat? At one point I was fanning myself with the emergency card and the flight attendant came over and assured me that they had turned on the A/C. If they did, it was off again within the hour. The service was friendly. The food was very mediocre. In flight entertainment options were nice. Being on a hot sweaty plane for 11 plus hours was awful.

First and foremost, nothing beats leavings from Haneda rather than Narita. It is close to the city centre and is less busy when travelling international.

If you are flying to BKK this particular flight is excellent. Leaves at midnight and arrives during the early morning; therefore, you have the whole day to enjoy.

The aircraft was a B787 with new economy seats; therefore, you have a bigger entertainment screen and more leg room. The only downside is the food. It’s not very tasty. Hope this review helps.
