“Worst ground staff experience ever”

Never ever ever had such worst and arrogant staff interaction with Etihad ever. I was at the boarding gate 25 minutes before the scheduled departure.
The lady at the counter took my boarding pass so she could enter me into the system and one of her coleague who also happened to be a women suddenly questioned me by calling my name are you so and so., and I nodded yes. Then she goes on saying “do you need a special invitation to come to the plane?” In the most disrespectful way possible. Then another gentleman who happened to be from the airline staff probably thought he should also have a shot since i did not reply back to the illiterate and disrespectful women “ we are in the process of offloading your luggage” again in tone as if he is my boss and I’m his servant.
What now, the first women who took my boarding pass suddenly stopped and satarted looking at the man with a questionable face wether she should let me on or not.
He goes agian”this time you should let him on”
When i reached the door of the plane there were still 2-3 passengers waiting for their turn to get onto the plane.
What a terrible way to treat your customers when they are not late at all. I have never had such a bad experience with any airline even when traveling in economy airlines.
I do want to say some extremely bad words for the staff of Etihad but I guess i have been brought up in better ways than the staff of Etihad.

I normally use another airline but the prices have risen so much and the schedules have changed drastically so I thought I would give Etihad a try and I was very pleased with the airline.
The business class seats, although quite small, were very comfortable, the service by the air crew was excellent and the food served was very enjoyable with good vegetarian choices.
The in-flight entertainment was not that great but I was not too bothered as it meant I could get some sleep!
There were one or two minor niggles by comparison to my usual carrier, but I could live with that and as the price was half of what I had been paying, I will definitely use them again in the future.

Our holiday started on the 7th of may 2018 from Seychelles to Abou Dabi economy class.. had transit of 7 hours...

When we went to do our check in for Manila come a surprise that we have been upgraded to business class. That was a very nice from the company. Welcome drinks and a wonderful breakfasts been served...

I really really enjoy the trip I could sleep comfortably...

good food staff really pleasant but we didn't like their seating policy - aircraft 3/4 full but all the good seats were not taken and we asked if we could move - "no, only if you pay extra" so they sat vacant all flight.

Seats are paid seats now and you will not be able to switch your seats to preferred or extra legroom seats. If you want to change between standard seats if the plane is not full, you can ask our Crew and they would let you know if its possible. *Marc

Flew from Manchester to Sydney then Brisbane to Manchester Buisiness Class. Flights all on time, wonderful service, good food. Comfortable bed, helpful staff. My daughter and I travelled with her 3 year old. The staff were really good, nothing too much trouble. We put her bed down and she slept 10 hours out of a 14 hour flight. Buisiness class lounge good. We ate in there before we boarded our evening flight, didn't have supper on the first flight just settled down for a good sleep. Cabin quiet and relaxed. Amenity bag full of goodies and a child's backpack, blanket and toy for the child. Bar lounge on the plane serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, fresh fruit. Lovely experience
