I use Delta as my airline of choice, primarily since I live in Atlanta and it is Delta Hub. I am a frequent flyer member, and unfortunately Delta has the worst Award Program. Difficult to find an Award Flight and if you do it cost much more than other Award Programs.
Regarding my recent flight from LAS to ATL, it was what can be expected from Delta. Running out of food and uninterested flight crew.
Delta "is what it is" but would hope that somewhere down the road they have more concern for their customers instead of the bottom $ line.

The flight went well. We departed JFK on time and landed a little earlier at LAX. At LAX we did have to change gates but the gate was nearby and clear announcements were made. Flight to Maui departed a littler later than scheduled but again the flight went well and was comfortable.

This flight home was slightly better. Left on time, was quick to get to the gate. The main snag was we landed back at a domestic terminal in Atlanta and weren't sure if our bags were going to the domestic baggage claim or international baggage claim. The Delta app wasn't clear about this either so we made the wrong guess of domestic since we landed in domestic. This cause a lot of heartache and panic and wasted time as we then had to take a shuttle over to the international baggage claim to get our bags. Then we had to take the shuttle back to domestic so we could wait for our shuttle to the hotel. What a pain!

Delta normally does a pretty good job, however on this flight we weren't able to choose our seats, were stuck at the very back of the plane next to the lavatory, and the seats couldn't even recline back. If that wasn't enough the flight was delayed an hour or two. What a terrible way to start a vacation trip!

Abandoned in Amsterdam after a 4 hour delay in Newark because they couldn't get the plane from one side of the airport to the other.
Missed our connection. Forced to queue for a transfer, none of the many representatives could or would help. Took a phone call while waiting to get a new connection, after being in the queue for an hour. No staff at the airport helped.
Then bag lost because it was a new connection.
Its only when something goes wrong you realise how much your actually worth to an airline.
