Initially travelled SIN to BKK with Cathay Pacific (CP) which was a nightmare due to their luggage piece system.
As a BA Gold Member had flown from ABZ to SIN in business with family and after few days of fun in Singapore was heading to Bangkok to do it all again.
At the airport as BA Gold has free extra luggage allowance of 2x23KG but only had one hold case at 27KG which according to their piece system was too heavy and was told had to remove 4KG and get another case !!
Explained had travelled with ONE case from UK but it took almost 45mins of arguing and speaking with managers before was allowed my 27KG in ONE case!!
Boarded flight and air crew were fantastic throughout the journey.
One leg down, one leg to return!
At BKK expected big issues after scenes at SIN and on web (below) but it not only was fine it turned into a dream!
At check-in AREEYA asked where we were travelling to and we said SIN but heading back to ABZ via SIN and LHR but that we had TWO BOOKINGS!
She then said that was NOT a problem and spent 10mins organising our cases from BKK all way to ABZ which was a fantastic outcome to which we are eternally grateful!
(Especially as had spoke via webchat with CP a week before our return who after 5 hours of chat with FOUR DIFFERENT people REFUSED to allow cases to travel to ABZ!)
During August was in a dilemma as was Gold with One World, Skyteam and Star Alliance (was 1st time ever) but could not sustain all 3 so was on point of dropping 2 Frequent Flyer programs.
One World was going because of problems with CP at SIN which I never wish to have happen again!
But because of AREEYA and the exceptional experience at BKK along with the fantastic CP flight staff in BOTH directions we are staying with ONE WORLD.
It goes to show if you receive a good experience when flying it is well worth asking first!

Two flight attendants made this a very special flight. I think sometimes FAs forget about the magic they can create because I think we romanticise their jobs. It is not easy, but they are in the service industry. Firstly, Gary just exudes enerhy, warmth and sincerity. Thank you. Basics like a smile go a long way.He understands. Secondly, Melody. Engaging from the beginning and willing to actually connect with a guest. She recommended a wine for my meal and did so effortlessly, confidently. Furthermore, she actually poured the champagne in front of me. In the 8 flights with CX recently, this is the first time it was poured in front of me - how it should be. She understands the ritual of pouring champagne on board. Thank you to both of them.

I flew to Thailand via Hong Kong from Sydney, Australia with Cathay Pacific for the first time. Both flights were very pleasant, especially the first flight. A 9 hour flight in Economy with Cathay Pacific was a very comfortable experience.

The check in process was very easy and barely anyone was checking in at this time. We used the priority queue (having a Oneworld ruby status with Qantas) and allowed for a smooth check in process. Even for the standard economy check in lanes, it was empty.

The staff were very attentive and very friendly. Upon boarding the plane, the interior was brand new and very well maintained as well as being throughly cleaned. The seat was extremely comfortable and the in flight entertainment system had plenty of movies to watch. They even provided two delicious full meals with metal cutlery, which is something you don’t see in many long haul economy class flights.

Now moving on to the seat again, the legroom was very good considering I am 6ft tall. They even provided sleeping masks and pillows and a comfortable blanket for economy class. For a 9 hour flight, the hard product and the soft product of this economy class is experience is above average.

After arriving for a transit for my next flight, I headed to the lounge and was granted access with my dad (who has Qantas gold Oneworld sapphire status). The Cathay Pacific lounge was very clean, had a good amount of amenities to use, such as a shower and delicious food. They even had a massive noodle bar and a drinks bar. Extremely delicious food and friendly staff working there. The tickets with Cathay Pacific was of good value and I strongly recommend flying in Cathay Pacific economy class.

The most bad experiance i my life
Once and nevver again
A delete flicht ok but delete it 4 times and passenger waiting and waiting shame on you you realy think chinees way only the monny is important for you not costumers et them wait almost 3 hours and you even did not offer one drink or some food
I did fly with cebu. Air few years ago the flicht was delete also 90 minits what they did for all pessengers, give drinks and give a meal from jollie bee
No cathey pacific i nevver Will book any flight at your company anymore o ce and nevver again.

Cathay Pacific is trash. I booked a flight for my family of 7 on their website. When I received the confirmation email, the time was different than the one I intended to book. I immediately cancelled the flight within a few minutes of booking, but they still charged $2100 in cancellation fees.
