“Shabby plane but wonderful service”

The plane was old and shabby and the tv too small to even consider watching a film but at least it was a night flight so wasn't in great need f the screen.
The service as in 90% of BA flights was fabulous. The staff are more times than not, friendly and helpful. I wasn't happy to be woken up with the lights going on but actually don't think I can blame the crew for that.
Please renew your planes. On such a long flight you really do need the comfort.
The food for both meals was totally uneducable! My vegan meals starting in London are always delicious but this was a disgrace.

They gave only one meal during transatlantic flight, when we were checking it turned out possible to check bag no heavier then 23 kilo per person, but was not allowed to take one bag for 2 persons with 35 kilos, though we had only 25 kilos in one bag for 2 indeed. On flight from London to Moscow and from Moscow to London they gave only cold sandwich!!! We were shocked with it! And they gave us different seats, not that ones which we chose while checking in online. When my husband asked for a glass of water before takeoff they refused and said only after takeoff, but anyway brought water only with meal. In London they allowed only 1 hand bag per person and one lady’s bag, the nuance was that it was after duty free zone, right before getting into plane! We had 1 bag with winter jackets (just not to carry it in hands), 1 backbag with airplane pillows and 2 small bags with souvenirs, they made us put one bag into another, as if it could change a situation! And what if we had bought something in duty free, luckily we did not!
Just an ordinary air company, as it’s British Airways, the service and provision could be much better! Or is it just an attitude towards Russians?
And there were no tv on board from Moscow to London!

We actually flew with Stobart, operating on behalf of BA. Quick flight from City to Milan. Flight took off about 10 mins late but arrived on time. Happy to discover a drink and something for breakfast was provided !

A flight over a year.
This New Years eve flight was a joy with friendly and helpful staff.
They wished us a Happy New Year as boarding time was just after midnight in the UK.
I think it was fortunate that the flight was a not fully booked.
Allowing staff more time.

When i knew that i have to spend 10hrs in plane, i thought i will go crazy, as im not good with long flights. But i have to say cabin crew made the flight very easy and pleasant. Plain condition itself was good, comfortable chairs, delicious food, helpful crew, huge choice from movies, games and tv series to keep you busy. Came back to UK in Premium Economy, was total heaven! Im glad they made direct flight to Seychelles, would chose them every time
