I love AA and am a gold member. But be forewarned. If you are traveling from Hilton Head airport or from Savannah on your way to or from New York, and choose a Charlotte stopover.....the distance between arrival gates is enormous. At least a mile through multiple corridors. Leave a lot of time between flights. We had to run to make the connection in both directions and my husband was in a wheelchair pushed by very strong, willing helpers and it was a race we almost didn't make happen. Stressful way to travel. Never again.

There are no direct flights from Rochester NY to Cancun Mexico. I usually look at Delta or American (use both) depending on trip duration and layover time. Have not had a problem over the last 10 years.

Recently I had flown from LGA to Belize with a connecting flight in Miami. The first flight arrived late due to ground crew not preparing the aircraft but arrived in time to connect. Once at the connecting gate myself and 10 others found the plane door closed and then pulling away, earlier than the 10 minute prior to departure rule-only later did we find out from a seated passenger in that plane that it was completely full well beforehand.
Nearly 5 plus hours later and after much aggravation, we finally got rooms for the night (even though they fought us) but no food vouchers, formal apology or upgrade for the next day.
Each of us lost out on monies previously paid for our resort time plus tours and an entire day lost.
We all wrote to or are writing to American for a proper apology as well as reimbursement.
Possibly, this will be handled in the professional manner in which it should have from the start.
I’m not sure they can handle much more negative feedback.

My family has been traveling to St. George and Cedar City in Southern Utah for a while now. SLC Airport is easier and more friendly than Las Vegas to get in and out of, so we prefer it. Traveling on American to SLC, we notice that our crew tends to be very professional and family oriented. And when the video flight safety had a problem, the crew laughed it off as then went into their spiel, making the announcement we've all heard fresh. Comfortable flight.

it was fine, taking off good, landing somewhat rough. otherwise it was fine.
I think the 24 $ check bag is way too high
