There was not much of a welcome when first arrived on board, drinks was not offered until after take off I might as well travel in economy waste of money, would not recommend business class travel on this airline.

Alitalia is doing really well compared with other airlines. In most airlines, the space in the seats has been reduced in a ridiculous way in recent years. I am small and I suffer... I wonder what happens with tall people?
I traveled in Alitalia in August 2018 and space was great.
I can't say the same about the food... one time good, one time bad.
Overall... a really good experience.

We took a flight in the evening, the booking and selecting extra baggage check-in was easy and friendly, I do not recall any delays in the flight, there was a slight boarding delay of about 20 min, service was OK too.

I have never gone to an airport that has such a terrible system and horrible service . First the signs they have are terrible and give no good sense of direction as to where to go. Had to walk all the way outside just to find the other terminals in the rain! Then once you are inside there is no one working that can even give you information. When you go to check in there are massive lines and only 2 people working the check in. It’s ridiculous !! They ended up having to open a separate line to check in people for our flight because at the rate the line was going we were going to be late. It took almost an hour to check in! Worst airport I have ever been to for a place that has so many tourist every day! An experience like this makes never want to use this airline again. And I most certainly will try to avoid it in the future. Very disappointed in their lack of customer service.

We recently traveled from Mexico to Barcelona via Rome in Alitalia. Even though the crew was OK, the seats are so uncomfortable that they ruin your experience. The back of the seat is not aligned with the head rest, leg space is ridiculously small. The main meal is OK but the second meal is only bread and ham with cheese. For a 14 hour flight not enough at all. The in flight entertainment system is very hard to use.
