“Fantastic service & reliability”
Review of Air New Zealand

Reviewed 3 weeks ago via mobile

I choose to always fly with Air NZ as their customer service is always excellent. I have had issues with cancelledand delayed flights before but that is to be expected with any airline. This return flight was on time and was run like clockwork. Baggage was ready both ways in a speedy manner. There is always a great selection to view on the inflight entertainment and blankets and pillows were available on every seat. The cabin crew had a great sense of humour and made the trip go fast. Highly recommended

There was a time when Air NZ was something really special. Now they are absolutely no different from any other carrier. They added a tenth seat across on their 777, use to be 9 across. The plane didn't get any bigger the seats just got a lot smaller. The flight attendants have let the the # 1 airline thing go to their head, while very nice, they were extremely unhelpful. Worst of all is the appalling lack of space between seats on a transatlantic flight. Whats worse is you pay additional for supposedly more space and get nothing. Further more the entertainment box is now under your seat taking away additional precious space. Do not pay more for Air NZ they are no longer worth it. Oh and forget about sky coach its good if you are 5'9" and under. Its a real pity that Air NZ is o different than American United Virgin, Delta or British Air. Being cooped up in completlety full metal tube for 11 hours is no fun, and instead of making it better they did what everyone else did and made it less enjoyable for the customer while making it more profitable for themselves. Pity.

We flew from Vancouver BC to Auckland on a non-stop flight. The easiest 14 hours of flying we have ever done! The in-flight service was outstanding - crew was very polite, and always checking to see if there was anything they could do for us. The food - dinner and breakfast - offered a good selection and very tasty!

The seats were quite comfortable, although we didn't sleep very well, but we attribute that to us being light sleepers.

Overall it was an excellent flight experience, and Air New Zealand is now our "go to" airline!

We flew Air New Zealand economy class on their weekly 777 flight from LAX to Rarotonga. The 2 meal service was good and they did their best to make the 9 hour flight as comfortable as possible. The one thing we were disappointed with was the schedule, the flight arrives in Raro on Sunday morning and leaves on Friday night at midnight. The biggest day on the island is market day on Saturday and all visitors from the USA have to miss it unless they stay over an extra week, bummer.
