“Not Good at Customer Service”

While on my way to Amsterdam for a direct flight to New York, I learned that the flight was cancelled, that they re-booked me on a flight that went to Paris and then New York and that they would not honor the reservation for the Premium Economy Class. I was seated in the rear of the plane in Economy. Of course they ran out of the meal choices and gave me what they had left.
The crew, after the meal service virtually disappeared.

JFK to CDG (Paris) seats felt like sitting on unpadded plywood -- terrible & painful.

Paris to Bordeaux aboard a different smaller Air France plane was comfortable.

I am constantly amazed with the service offered by Air France. I have mobility problems and use their Saphir service which I would rate at 9/10. The AF staff is helpful and smiling, it is a pleasure to fly with AF.

AF use 15 years old Airbus 330-200 flight to Bangalore where no modification has been done yet. The screens are so bad that you can't see any clear image at it. Seats are ok, but few seats have push back issues. Service was nice and it was on time as well. But comparing the economy class of any other airlines, I felt that lots of improvement required. Same feeling I had with Mumbai to Paris flight as well at 2014. At a given chance, I will try not to travel to India by AF. AF operates much better flights to any other part of the world like USA, Hongkong, Japan, Singapore etc.

It was a short trip from Paris, France to Basel, Switzerland (back and forth). It was a nice trip. Cabin crew were helpful. we got a biscuit and tea meal. everything was ok.
