“Very Uncomfortable!”
Review of Air France

Reviewed 3 weeks ago via mobile

My wife and I flew AF from Atlanta to Paris for a vacation. When I say Uncomfortable I dont mean the seat , I am referring to the temperature of th he cabin. It was very warm. Warm to the point of breaking a sweat. This 777 did not have individual fan ports above the seats. This made the eight and a half flight rough to say the least. Service was good and flight was on time.

Air France Premium Economy is well worth the small premium on ticket price. Very comfortable seating, nice service and an added ice cream treat. Too bad the airlines routes through CDG which is a nightmare of long corridors, long line-ups for washrooms and even longer line-ups for customs, even with Sky Priority that comes with the Premium Economy ticket.

Flew AF because it was a great fare. Had to fly through Paris. No matter, all was lovely. Especially on the return...crew, food, service all were excellent and there was the added plus of a fantastic lounge at CDG during our layover. Could not have been better, will definitely not hesitate to fly Air France again.

In the morning of our fit to Via Paris to Venice, muy husband received the notice that our flt was going to be hour late taking off. He immediately called Air France and was told indeed that we needed change the flts from CDG to VCE. Now, the agent suggests, that we would never make the connecting flt the way it was and that we needed from CDG to ZRH and then to VCE. That added including layover, 5 more hours to our trip.

OK, we had nice dinner reservation in VCE not to mention a nice ride from airport to the B&B we were staying that cost us EUR175. We did pay EUR 175 when we did finally get to VCE but it was pitch dark by then and pouring rain. We couldn't see a dang thing! Of Course, dinner reservation for the night was out the door.

I know AF has nothing to do with weather in VCE whether it rained or not earlier. The problem was utter neglect of the agent's concern that this was our precious vacation time that we were losing and it was starting out not that great.

It turned out, when we got to CDG, that we had enough time to go to other terminal to make the flt to VCE straight on time! OK, I grant you that you can't predict that happened but why is it then you guys give such short time for connecting flights? Why is it that we the passengers have to pay the price?

Just for the record, we not only didn't see beautiful Venice going in because it was night time and raining but lost our dinner reservation and possibly the chance to see Vivaldi concert. And since we had other destinations to run to we only had day and a half tight schedule planned in Venice and lost half of that. Not happy!

Brighter note: Economy premium seats are awesome. No one is sitting on my lap as was Lufthansa air planes and service was good.

Good overall experience for 10 to 11 hour flight. Good service and food, drinks included (alcohol). Seats could have been more comfortable. Both flights delayed a hour or more.
