Well they sure pack them in economy so was very happy to be in business. Much nicer plane on the way over . Older one returning. Food is barely average. Both ways we did not like it. They need a new executive chef. Nice wine selection though. Excellent flight attendants.

After we had got online our check in and seat numbers, once in de Gaulle Airport we were warned that we would lose our flight because of an "overbooking". Despite I tried to explain the company crew that we already had our seats asigned, they insisted that we let all the passengers in and then would see if there would be two places for us. Finally, after three awful hours waiting, when the aircraft had almost departed, my wife and me were allowed to fly that night, in separate seats, of course. Therefore I strongly recommend all Air France future passengers to get the airport and drop off their baggage as soon as possible.

Air France is an outstanding airline with great service. As long as you don't fly in the middle row on the 777, you'll have ample legroom. Also, don't book a flight with connections in Paris if you're flying to Europe. Customs and Border Patrol at Charles de Gaulle SUCKS. For some reason, they can't seem to get their passport verification process together. The inefficiencies at Customs caused us to be delayed in reaching our flight but the Air France folks were very kind and waited for us. The flight crew were very kind, the food was pretty good, as airline food goes and the inflight entertainment was really good. All in all, a good experience with Air France, other than the cluster that is the Charles de Gaulle airport.

The aircraft on this route was old. It was much less comfortable than my previous flights with Air France. The food was mediocre at best and the service quite mean. I would have expected a 10+ hour flight that spanned both lunchtime and dinner time would have warranted 2 full meals, rather than a meal for lunch and a snack for dinner, especially as arrival time was 2230 (too late to eat). The advertised ice cream service did not materialise.
The premium economy cabin was under staffed. I rang the bell for the stewardess once and she never arrived before the call light switched itself off a while later.
The entertainment system was poor. The screen was faded and had lines through it. The system was switched off a few minutes before landing meaning I missed the last 10 minutes of the film I was watching.On previous flight the entertainment system had been left on until the ‘plane reached the gate. And the choice of films was worse. I didn’t see any recently released films. Considering the route, I was hoping to watch Madagascar. But it was not an option.
It seems that Air France does not care too much about this route as there is virtually no competition. That’s a shame because previous flights have been much better.

I use this flight regularly, and most of the time it has been a good experience. Flight attendants have been helpful, food selection on board better than average, flights on time, boarding expedite.

For my last trip however te flight attendants seemed less friendly as usual, f.i. a pack of trays felt off and landed in mi wife arm and instead of assisting her, they just laughed at it. Certainly disappointing.
