“Forgettable but fine service”
Review of Air Canada

Reviewed 3 weeks ago

A short 1 hour hop over the border to the USA was a forgettable but completely satisfactory experience. Would recommend.

Our 8 hour flight felt like forever. The attendants made any request seem like a huge inconvenience. Simply asking to have your monitor reset was met with a huff and more than likely wouldn't get done. I'm dreading our flight home.

This was our first time flying on Air Canada on our second trip to Taiwan. We upgraded to premium economy for the longest leg of our flight and it was well worth it. The plane was clean and calming. The service is a notch above what we received on United. As soon as we were underway, they bring out hot wet towels for your hands, followed by your choice of entrée which was some of the best airline food we have had, served with a cloth napkin and real silverware. Drink service was regular and the staff were very friendly and cheerful. You receive a snack and later breakfast which was just OK, but they keep you fed and hydrated, which is important. They clean the lavatory several times during the trip. For me these little details add up to a good experience. With family in Taiwan we will be visiting often and definitely plan to use Air Canada again. The airline changed two of our flights well in advance of our departure which I found odd, but we ended up making our connections.

The staff was friendly and competent. The service was good. However, the leg room was very limited. I am quite short and had less than 2 inches between my knees and the seat in front of me. The knees of the average-sized man seated next to me were up against the back of the seat in front of him.

The flight was late leaving however we still arrived within a half hour of our connecting flight. The service was horrible and the food was disgusting. The plane was dirty and looked like it had not been vacuumed in ages. All kinds of garbage along the wall. Seats very uncomfortable for a long flight.
