“Premium economy seats needed two people to operate”
Review of Air Canada

Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This is not the first time I have needed assistance to operate premium economy seating. The button you push to recline the seat doesn't work without the assistance of staff to push the seat back. I had this exact same problem with Singapore Airlines premium economy seats. Two choices for lunch - I chose duck was good. After lunch, no tea or coffee was offered, something I have never encountered. A white bread chicken sandwich was the only offering of a dinner snack. Breakfast was good.

Most convenient for arrival and departure overnights at Calgary terminal's Marriott hotel.
Terminal relatively new, and only hotel in the terminal. Full of western welcomes. Room view seemed comparable to that from the tower: aircraft below, runway expanse, and Calgary city and beginning of the Rockies in the distance. Bus connection for Banff in the terminal.

Arrived in Toronto at the airport, check in was smooth. To check a bag was free of charge and we were allowed to carry on pretty big bags that surprisingly easily fit in the overhead bins of the what seemed to be very new aircraft. Flight ended up getting delayed a couple hours due to weather, but was out of their control and they were very apologetic. Boarding was smooth and takeoff was prompt. After takeoff, beverages and meals were served. Meals were filling and extremely tasty for economy. They even offered free alcohol to economy passengers (not very common in North American airlines). Entertainment system was extremely good with hundreds of movies, tv shows and more. The plane was clean and new with very relaxing blue and orange lighting. Windows could be dimmed by each passenger. Water was constantly served throughout the flight. On arrival, we were offered breakfast and coffee or tea. Crew were extremely friendly throughout the flight and were attentive to all passengers needs. There was a family with a baby and the crew were constantly checking on them and the baby. Seats were very comfortable to sleep and relax in. Good legroom, good width. Overall, a very pleasant experience with Air Canada. Much better than any of the airlines that are in the US and far beats some of the European airlines as well.

After bragging so often about how much I like Air Canada, I'm broken hearted. You see, after travelling from Tucson to Denver on United, one of AC's Star Alliance partners, the crew was in such a rush to leave that my luggage WAS LEFT BEHIND in Denver. I wasn't the only one whose luggage is STILL in Denver (it's now been over 24 hours); another couple who had also connected to this AC flight also had orphaned luggage in Denver. When I got to the luggage claim desk in Pearson, I was informed ( by a rather grumpy man) that the 1 hour layover i had in Denver wasn't a long enough time to transfer my luggage. *ROLLS EYES HARD* I fail to see how I could get from Denver Terminal B to Terminal A, go to Duty Free, visit the tornado shelter, and then WALK to my gate and still have 20 minutes to wait for the boarding call and my luggage missed the flight. Air Canada, I think we may need a "break". *Sniff*

Toronto to Tel Aviv is an extremely long (12+ hour) overnight flight. The service and comfort of this brand new airplane was really extraordinary. Business class includes lay-flat bed which make the overnight flight bearable. The food was gourmet quality and the service was memorable
