I was one of the unfortunates who thought I was booking a wonderful trip to "THE" Bahamas, but it ended up being "THE NASSAU." I don't know why NCL didn't adjust the itinerary to take us to Mexico or anywhere, but spending two full days in Nassau was extremely boring. I think it's because the SUN is based in the Bahamas. Anyway, I did this cruise as the first part of a back-to-back cruise, which I would never do again. Even though about 25 of us were doing the back-to-back, pack all of our stuff (but leaving it in the room was OK and the stewards moved your suitcases to your new room (did they really HAVE to move me from the very back to the very front?), and we had to walk all the way through the arrival terminal to present ourselves to the USA immigration folks with our passports, then go all the way back to the ship, and this all had to happen before 9 AM. The 2nd part of the cruise took me to Key West which, to me, was just another tourist town in the United States, then we headed to Great Stirrup Key which was going to be the highlight for me due to the great snorkeling there. Well, that didn't work either. The water was supposedly too rough for us to use the tender boat to get to the island for the beach and barbecue. Then back to Nassau. Wow. They let me down. The food was fine, the service was fair, and the food in Cagneys cannot be duplicated. The buffet features under-cooked bacon for breakfast and mediocre food the rest of the time. The shops? Oh my. Avoid the on-board DuFry shop! No one, especially the managers, Harry and Lawrence, know nothing about customer service. At least one day during every cruise they have a $10 sale which includes items sold at any $5 or $10 store. Worthless, thin cover-ups, watches and bags. If you're looking for over-priced run-of-the-mill junk purchased from managers who could care less about your happiness, the DuFry store on NCL is just for you. Because the ship is smaller than most, getting on and off is fairly easy, but remember that on any cruise less than 5 nights will NOT get you any of your typical platinum or gold amenities except your 30 minutes of free internet. Other than that, I'd say skip it. The only reason I was on is because it was super-cheap for a solo...if you don't mind just floating around doing loops on the Atlantic.

Worst cruise ever! Caveat emptor let the buyer beware! Anita Green, Cruise Critic agent sold us this cruise adding a beverage package for an additional $300 upgrade; however come to find out the beverages were all inclusive. She also stated our final amount that we paid

Let me start off by saying I am not a bougie cruiser that expects a lot, but this cruise didn’t come close! There was no activities besides a singer who sing Motown songs and a arcade. The first port that we went into was canceled because it was too rough to get on the tender

Took a 4 day Bahamas cruise. We got the packages that were all free extra stuff. Didn’t learn until we were on board that the “specialty dining package“ was only valid for one night. The food in the regular restaurants was very bland and less than ordinary. When we did go to one

I was a small ship but enjoyed it. Great food and great drink package. Lack entertainment, but we were enjoying each other company.

Nice and very clean, great cabins with good beds. Warm and welcoming crew, who makes You feel appreciated. NCL is big, but the Sun feels "small".
