Flew from Southampton to Munich for Oktoberfest. Southampton Airport is a very convenient airport, as there is minimal queues for security and gates are all together in the departure lounge.

The flight was very expensive. £170 return. For a 1 hour 40 minute flight, this is a lot.

The aircraft (Embraer 145) is compact, but comfortable. Steps to get in to the aircraft are built in to the aircraft door. The seat configuration is nothing I've experienced before, but was very good. A single row, the aisle and then a twin row. If you check in 48 hours before the flight, you'll be able to book a single row seat. Single row is excellent for comfort. The seats are leather and comfortable. Decent amount of leg room.

Complimentary drinks and food served. A salami or cheese roll. A variety of soft drinks and hot drinks. Unsure about alcohol.


Only one cabin crew member, as only around 47 seat. Aircraft feels very fast on takeoff, due to smallness of it. Also as small, more susceptible to turbulence, but the flight was very comfortable & no concerns. Flight landed on time on both occasions.

They allow stand size hand luggage, but due to the size of the overhead lockers in the cabin (very small!), larger bags are left at the aircraft door and loaded in to the hold free of charge. They are then collected on on the tarmac as you disembark the aircraft. You can also have an additional bag, such as laptop or handbag.

I would recommend flying with this airline for the convenience of flying from a local airport & the smaller amount of fellow passengers, but would look for a much lower price next time.

the outward journey incurred a small delay, just under an hour but the return was a three and a half delay.

I flew BMI regional twice a week for 5 weeks while commuting to Inverness. Great airline, comfortable seats, complimentary drinks and snack.

Excellent aircraft and helps as has jet rather than propeller so less vibration in the cabin.

I was supposed to fly back from Stansted to City of Derry on the 0910 flight one Monday morning in July 2017. The flight was cancelled without any email or text to me and no BMI regional desk was available at Stansted. I was directed to the Easyjet desk who gave me a standard letter and a telephone number to call. I called; 40 minutes later I had managed to re-book on the evening flight at 1925. Alternatives offered such as an earlier flight to Belfast would not have helped me by much. I then spent the day in Stansted; even my tablet ran out of battery life and I sat on the floor near a plug socket to recharge it. The evening flight was also delayed. I spent 12.75 hours in Stansted airport. I wrote a letter to BMI regional for compensation of 250 euro and this was refused. I will be writing again. They have offered to pay me back for meals bought, even though I enclosed copies of the receipits. Not impressed at all.

Excellent airport! excellent service! excellent airline staff! Bonus having 23kg hold luggage and complimentary refreshments! Great being able to fly from Southampton to Munich to visit family!
