“horrible check in, pleasant flight”
Review of Nauru Airlines

Reviewed 3 September 2017

The start of the flight in Brisbane was pathetic, a woman of about 60 at check in denied boarding to several passengers due to lack of visa, when my turn came, without letting me speak and in very bad ways, she said no he could travel since he did not have visa for nauru, although it only flew in transit towards the islands Marshall.

to my repeated complaints sent me to the person in charge of Nauru airlines, that also with a very improved forms and education commented to me that if it could travel, although it believed that not to the Marshall islands; after a long and stressful check, found that with the European Union passport he could travel to the marshall islands without a visa. A disaster of check in.

the flight itself was pleasant, Boeing 737-200, quite old, good space between the legs, almost full flight in the first stage.
Route: Brisbane / honiara / nauru / majuro / tarawa. price: 680 euros the whole route.
food. nice,
Crew: friendly, no more.

Air Nauru is a relatively unknown carrier. The food is good, considering it is airline food. Seats are comfortable. There is no in flight entertainment, so bring a book.

We joined the Nauru Airlines flight at Brisbane on our way to Tarawa. This was like an island hopping bus trip, taking in Honiara and Nauru before arriving at Tarawa.

Compared with getting to Tarawa via though Fiji, these guys were excellent value for money. They fly into Central Pacific areas where few other airlines go, providing connectivity that extends from Nadi to the Marshall islands, hubbing though Nauru and into Brisbane.

The aircraft are earlier model B737's, so that lack on-board entertainment, however the superb cabin service we experienced made up for that. Nauru Airlines economy class meals have to be seen to be believed - they could show many larger airlines what airline catering is all about. Plentiful in quantity, excellent in taste and topped up with a great drinks service and very friendly cabin staff. I was very impressed with this airline.

Couldn't say the same about Bonriki Airport which appears to be clearly lacking in aircraft handling facilities an clean toilets. But hey, if you travel in these regions much you have to expect this.

Have flown few times work work. This is the only airline available to fly in and out Nauru. Staff are good and friendly. Food is reasonable.
Seats are worst than a budget airline. Definitely not suits for an international airline.
There is no in flight entertainment. Make sure to pack a good book to read or have your Pc/Tablet charged if you want to watch something. There is no power available on board. Expect for a long wait at the airport after landing as they do not have electronic processing. All done manually.
