I really get irritated when check in reservation staff do not know thier own airplane seating configuration.

This airline and its sister Malindo offer very good regional services at a competitive price. As ever you get what you pay for and the cabin crew are always cheerful and helpful.

CHECK-IN: as slow as Christmas! This is the first time at the Changi airport that I experience such a slow-mo. We were the only ones ans still it took more than 15 minutes for the whole procedure. Remember. Only us!

FLIGHT: it was on -time (so no problem) but the service was definitely slack. Even the attitude was of someone who doesn't care that much. I am just wondering how the employees are treated as they didn't look happy overall. Food was ok for this kind of flight. Clean? Nope. My husband tray was dirty.

TO SUM UP: it's ok to go from point A to point B, but don't expect anything special

Like in the jungle! They don't use PA to announce delay, there is no proper point to ask for information or to complain, this is very tricky when you have a connection flight in Jakarta to AMS. If you absolutely MUST book with them, take long time for connection I'm case something is screwed up. I'd be happy to hear from Batik air staff about possible compensation, no one cares...

Pick Batik Air when taking domestic flights in Indonesia. This airline has good inflight entertainment (movies, series, charge your phone, etc), flies on time and provides food and drinks even on short flights and in economy. The staff is helpful, legroom is good and prices are affordable. The staff speak good English and pay attention to safety. One area of attention: when boarding from Halim airport, you just walk over the airfield and the staff did not check for a boarding card when going into the airplane (might as well have walked into another airplane) - this is maybe also a bit of an airport thing but security there seems a bit loose.
