We stayed at the Corfu Chandris for the last two years because Dassia is a good base to visit Corfu Town and other resorts to the north of the Island. The blue bus runs about every 20 minutes into the delightful capital and a green bus goes north to Kassiopi. As to Dassia itself, there are shops, bars, tavernas etc along the main road with many being near to the two Chandris hotels. Along the beach, well away from the main road, are the well kept hotel grounds and other restaurants and beach bars.Dassia is not the most charming destination on Corfu but there are many things to enjoy about it. The Corfu Chandris is a pleasant place to stay with good buffet food including many Greek and Mediteranean dishes.
