By train, taking 3 to 4 hours, from Civitavecchia to Carrara. Check with the place you are staying about getting from Carrara station to Marinella: there may be a bus, but a taxi would not cost much.

You can get train times and costs from www.trenitalia.it/homepage_en.html using a travel date in the next 7 days to get costs on local trains. For some journeys, you will need to change at Pisa.

Marinella (there are a lot of them all over Italy) or *Santa* Marinella, the beach town near Civitavecchia?

If the latter, there are frequent trains from Civitavecchia, and the trip takes six minutes.

Does anyone know what a taxi would run for 4 people from Civitavecchia to Santa Marinella?

Thanks,
