Expiry of a child's passport

We have just made a late booking to take our grandchildren for 10 days in Turkey. Having made the booking we discover that the 5 year old's passport is a few days short of the requirement to have 6 months validity after entering Turkey. Having visited Turkey earlier this year she already has an eVisa which is valid beyond our return date.

Has anyone come up against this problem and what was the result?

A few people have posted about this and it seems like you should be ok with a child being few days off the 6 months. It actually should be 6 months on entering and 3 months on departing so maybe it is ok anyway? As she has a visa already I think it will be ok. I hope so anyway :)
