Julius t safaris

Hi everyone!

I'm due to be staying at the diani sea resort for a fortnight on the 14th July, VERY excited!

After reading all the reviews of safari companies in going to go with julius but I'm just wondering how much everyone has paid for his/other safaris. My partner and I are looking at a 2 day, 1 night excursion to tsavo east/west.

Julius has given me a guide price of £385 for two. Should I barter this down????!

Any help appreciated,

Thanks!

Based on the prices I've been quoted JT Safaris seem slightly more expensive...but he seems to have a very good reputation which might be worth the extra for peace of mind. Also depends whether he has quoted for private tour or shared vehicle.

It's a shared vehicle quote. What companies would you advise are cheaper as after all the vaccinations, malaria tablets and insurance, we're left pretty short!!!

The price also depends on the camps you are staying in and the vehicles you are using. Are you using Julius Tact safaris or Julius Thuvi? It's very unusual for Julius Nzumbi to put more than one party in a van e.g. one couple or one family, if there is another couple or family that is unknown to you this is a "shared safari" if it's with domeone you know this is a "private safari"

Hope this helps.

Hi Katie, if you're after a company who's prices are lower but service standard are very high then I'd recommend Glorious Safaris. We used them in Feb and their prices were much lower than JT and their standard of communication was second to none. A private safari too, so just the the wife and I.

Feel free to drop me a pm or ask questions if you'd like more info. Their email address is shadrack@glorioussafaris.com.
